Good morning.

I've been up for 2 hours and I can't wait to go back to bed.

 

That's a lot of applications lol Good for you though. I want to punch the person interviewing me that says, "We'll keep this on file just incase.." Um..excuse you but did you just tell me in a roundabout way that I'm not getting hired dependent solely on this interview? It's fucking rude is what it is.

 

Yeah. I have three separate headhunters looking for me as well. Part of me wonders if I'm becoming one of those urban legends staffing agencies always talk about. I spend up to 6 hours a day trying to find a job or applying for freelance work. I've worked 9 hours since the second week of February. It's rough. I just can't go back into retail. Can't do it.

Yikes. Yeah, thankfully, when I've gotten to the interview stage, I've always made it to the final round. Just never... you know... got hired. I've gotten really good at replying to rejection emails, though. -_-

 

I love spring break. I can wake up at 10am and not do anything all day.

 

My finals are next week, have one a day from Mon - Thurs. Then I catch a train Friday morning to head home for spring break. I can't wait, I need a break.

My school runs on quarters - Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer. Each quarter is 10 weeks then an 11th week for finals.

So Winter quarter started early January and finishes next week.

 

I keep thinking about going back to grad school, but I just paid off my loans and don't wanna actually do the test part of things. Though I'd totally do a deep immersive language school. I'd love that.

 

What wasn't cool was when my phone rang and woke me up because someone got stabbed on my campus even though im not there and its actually the other campus

 

Oh yeah, I think I applied to your school lol. How do you like it? I think I prefer semesters if only because 2 sets of finals instead of 4 lol

 

I got woken up by a call about refinancing my home. I don't own a home

 

I like it for the most part. Sometimes the pace kills me a bit, but it's not awful.

Their co-op program makes it worth it. I'm here for a total of 5 years, but spend 6 months (Spring and Summer) out of the year for my middle 3 years working in a full time position in my field. So I get 18 months of full experience as part of my education, which is a good trade off imo for some fast paced school work ha

 

Yep, I definitely applied to your school lol. I remember hearing all about that program, seems incredible

Yeah, it is. For all the shit I give the school for various things, that program more than makes up for it for basically securing me a job after I graduate.

It's funny you think that because there actually is another user here that goes to this school haha. I've never met up with them, but I do know they're here. Small world.

 

Down to 101.5. I think I'm gonna make it. If you ever get sick like this drink tons of Pedialyte. It always makes me feel tons better.

 

Being able to "work from home" is the best thing ever.

 

yep. sitting at home now "working" slowly.

 

I'm sitting on the floor in my bedroom with thermals and a hoodie on trying to sweat this out.

 

My friend just got a promotion that doubled her pay. She was already the person in my friend group making the most money. I swear...
