Lorde is bringing out Run the Jewels and Mitski as her openers for her US tour next year.

They're going out with STYG and Silent Planet in Europe so that can't be entirely true.

Wow I saw Mitski play to ~30 people when I was in high school. That's awesome for her.

 

Double post (sorry) but DGD just announced they're doing a tour playing Mothership in full. Yikes.

Why yikes? Wasn't Mothership very well received? I'd go if it was coming near me.

The DGD tour is like a week of shows in December on the west coast. I'm sure something else will get announced for the rest of the country.

I had the same thought about the legnth of their set, but they started at just after 9:30 last night and finished right before 11. There was certainly joking and shenanigans between songs, but nothing that felt excessive time wise, and I don't even think break for the encore was even a minute long. Like I said, misadvertising of no, they still put on a hell of a show.

My guess is some combination of the same blue swan bands they always tour with lol

I've always thought Mothership was definitely higher tier DGD. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

They wouldn't play an album in full if there weren't people that wanted them to

(Mothership is their best album)

Is it not possible that folks could think both those albums are top tier DGD?
