Eh. Nothing really happened lol. It was just a dumb plot line for an episode.

Some eps have been hit or miss for me too but as a whole it gets better!

I just watched episodes 6, 7 and 8 of season 1 last night. Something still hasn't fully clicked with me. Not quite sure what it is though. There's been some ridiculous moments like Wayne telling Tom to put money under a specific mailbox even though Wayne has no clue where Tom is and they are definitely nowhere near each other. And Jill just so happening to find the gun in Nora's house, in her kid's bedroom, under the bed, and inside a Trouble box that happens to be there. Also, I'm guessing the gun being inside the game 'Trouble' is some foreshadowing.

Patti talking and then offing herself was interesting. I figured she would be this main 'villain' as the local GR leader but it looks like Laurie will be taking on that role now which will make for an interesting dynamic. I really dislike Jill. And I'm interested to see what happens with Kevin's sleep walking/middle of the night/whatever the hell is happening to him.

Ohhh boy. S1E9 was a good one and kind of a mindfuck after seeing the whole season so far. Finale time!

I thought the season 1 finale was just okay. Didn't really like the ending.

Season 2 and 3 are vast improvements upon the first. Still working through the last couple episodes and it’s made its impression as one of the best shows i’ve seen in recent years. Definitely try and stay with it.

Yeah definitely gonna keep watching. My comments in here have probably made it seem like I don't really like the show haha. I'm definitely enjoying it, just not blown away yet. But excited to see what happens in the next seasons.

The first Season didn't necessisrily blow me away as much as it just made me really love/appreciate the mystery behind everything and want to see more in this world.

I think just the weird "what the fuck?" Moments just elevate Season 1 for me so much. I just really appreciated every Sunday looking at my gf and we're both saying "what the fuck did we just watch?"

I will say that the last 3-4 episodes of that season really hooked me in. Seeing where the Garvey's were on 10/14 and who they lost, nora, the grandparents with the Down syndrome grandson, etc...I just really loved how they kind of leaned into the idea that the people who disappeared had someone close to them who was feeling, at least at that moment, that life would maybe be easier if that person didn't exist. But seeing the GRs plan carried out, that whole scene with Nora walking into the kitchen and seeing the dolls was so powerful.

That was a pretty interesting premiere. Took a little break before starting this season but after that premiere I feel like I’m hooked back in.

So jealous of the journey you have ahead of you.

I had to force myself to watch episodes of season 1. I had to force myself to stop watching episodes in season 2 (and 3) so I could sleep/live.

Still think season three is the worst... and I still like it a lot.

I think this is where I've settled too...though honestly a lot of the reason why I think it's the worst is i just was hoping for more answers than we got on certain small things haha. Even though I wasn't expecting them, I still wanted them!

I'm not attacking you, this is mostly for the newcomers to keep them motivated....but you are so fucking wrong. You're fucked and heartless. I can't even comprehend what is wrong with you on a fundamental level.

but again that's just for the new fans to keep them motivated to keep watching. Definitely not my thoughts on someone enjoying season 1 more than season 3

overall holy shit. what a show. totally life-affirming and completely original.

i love that they still leave room for mystery/mythos-uncovering while still explaining a solid amount. I had no expectation they were going to tell us where the departures went, though even that tidbit of info was framed as a possibility and not absolute truth.

The characterization in this show is beyond measure. It's so fantastic how fully fleshed-out Kevin and Nora's identities are at the end of season 3. Kevin's trips into the "other side/collective unconscious" are like poems/dreams that offer insights into Kevin's heart and mind. Love that the show kinda teaches you how to watch it-- how, in the end, it's about the characters and their lives. The mysteries of life are inexplicable, but we can try to figure out who we are and how to act around one another.

"Homeward bound, I wish I was."
