During the Seattle show, he stopped between songs at one point and said "This is when I would normally tell a joke, but I'm not feeling it tonight, so we're just going to play music." The crowd didn't seem too loud, but yeah he seemed kinda off all night even though the band sounded really tight.

I am currently in Detroit waiting for Foxing to go on. It's been a wild ride, y'all.

On the drive up, my friend and I accidentally drove into a flock of birds. Or, rather, a flock of birds fucking flew into the car. It was horrifying. Tonight, I will be singing along in honor of thos birds. Sorry birds.

Tigers Jaw also ripped. This is a really great lineup. Now I'm just waiting for the main event!

I will say that there is a surprisingly low amount of people in the balcony, but the floor is totally packed.

Alright. I passed out pretty much instantaneously when I got home, so I'll share some quick thoughts about the show now.

The band sounds, as plenty of others have stated, really, really tight. They are absolutely ferocious live, and even more dynamic than they are on record. All of the Black Mile material translates extremely well to the live show. I don't think I'll ever forget seeing the run of Alien - Sunshine - Grocery. One really funny moment was when, during The Grocery, Andy messed up the lyrics to the second verse and just said very loudly "whoops."

Andy seemed to be in good spirits last night. He didn't have much banter, but when he did it was lighthearted and he cracked a few jokes. He made the crowd sing "Happy Birthday" to Tigers Jaw's drummer because he is from Detroit even though it wasn't his birthday, which was hilarious. Then he didn't say anything for the rest of the show, lol.

I'm just really glad I was able to go. Seeing them alongside two other bands I really love was so special. If you're even kind of debating making it out to one of the remaining shows, definitely go ahead and do it.

I went to a Paul McCartney show Saturday(!) and the like 50-60 year old guy behind me kept talking when Paul was telling stories of the origins of his songs. "I don't want to hear him talk" "It's so hot"

    I wanted to scream

Really the only annoying part of last night was all the yelling and "wooing" during the quieter moments as was already discussed here yesterday. The last thing I want to hear when I'm basically sobbing during the "I realized that then you were perfect..." part of Hot One is a drunk 40-year-old bellowing.

I will NEVER understand why people think it's ok or cool or funny to do it. At every show, there are always multiple people that scream or shout stupid things at the singers. Every MO show...

You don't think he's heard a BILLION times "I love your beard!" do you think you're special when you scream "I LOVE YOU ANDY" just hoping he says love you too back because he feels obligated?

and the other night at Mumford, where they all crowd around a mic and asked everyone to be quiet people were still just screaming and shouting and this one girl in front of me thought it was hilarious to see how loud she could randomly shriek.

my new favorite thing is when assholes try to crowdsurf during a slow song, like acoustic song.

Funny story on the subreddit, someone said at a recent show, there were kids crowdsurfing during a slow song and Andy after the song said "Ok, Warped tour kids. Are you done? Do I have your permission to play a slow song now?"

Some of the most insufferable fans last night. These people by me would not stop talking loudly and getting in my way. I eventually moved but man, why go to a show just to talk?

I'll never forget when I saw them a few years ago. I was right against the stage in front of Andy, and this girl next to me was sending a NOVEL of a text during Colly Strings. Andy was looking right at her and riffing lyrics about her and she didn't even notice.

    People suck.

The crazy thing is that Andy made a point of saying that Detroit was one of the most respectful crowds they've had all tour. He actually said, "No one has yelled weird shit at me... I shouldn't have said that." And that was WITH all of the yelling and wooing.

I'm never going to forget when Copeland stopped playing When You Thought You'd Never Stand Out and skipped it altogether the last time I saw them because most of the crowd was talking over them. It is so insanely disrespectful.

Another thing I just remembered: I almost cried from laughter during The River when this lady horrendously yet confidently botched the vocal pause in The River.

"I'm gonna leave you... the first chance I... 'GETTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!'.... get"

So I have a theory, I think people don’t know how to sit down and listen to music anymore, I mean just listen to music.

Most people I know always have to be doing something else while listening they can’t just enjoy listening to a record. I have one friend who will sit down with me and listen to albums, and he’s in my band ha. People just always need to be doing something and at shows I think they don’t know what to do with thenselves bc they have no experience ONLY listening to music, so they talk
