First half of the show outperformed for sure. Second half underperformed

 

v good, the stage set up, lights, and production was tight. the stage was like a runway that went to the middle of the crowd while his band was on the main platform, with a spaceship above the runway that shifted to different angles during his songs. he also performed a handful of songs from Thursday, and House of Balloons, all in all a great show.

I’m not sure if you’re aware but Marty came out during progress chapter 55 and answered zsj’s open challenge, and once the match was over he said that he can’t come back to progress for a while. It’s not like he appeared in progress recently, his last appearance was in January, so I’m not sure why it was necessary to state that. I think it might be possible that roh is trying to lock in their people so they’re exclusive and can only work indie deals they approve of, because of the recent outflow of talent leaving. My point is, I think they signed Marty to a long exclusive deal too

 

ROH really needs to do that.

like, i hate him being the top guy as much as the next, but the little kids wearing his vest/gloves and the fact that EVERY CHILD CHARITY PICTURE POSTED has kids who clearly love him.

I feel like the "heelish" -turn experiment they did with Roman for some time after WM is now completly over again. They are still dead serious about making him their super babyface. That handshake and respect thing after his and cena's match was sooo cringy.

 

The thing about it is it might never change. What if Roman is placed as the top guy, and TV tapings continue to have an empty hard camera side? What happens if that actually gets worse? How far are WWE willing to let live gates dip so long as TV stays consistent in those first two hours every Monday?

They've got the depth to fill the card out around him to draw. He doesn't need to be the main reason folks buy tickets, but if he's not, then what the fuck are you doing? You have three shows filled with the best all-around packages in the last like twenty years. Is there that much value in having a pretty guy who can show up on SportsCenter and name drop The Rock?
