When Enzo debuted he was a part of a tag team that was very over and was fun

Now he's the champion of a division where work-rate is fairly important, and he still can barely wrestle

 

He’s literally there to learn from them, become better and to bring more eyes to the program. The title change was done to shock people so they’re somewhat interested in the Gulaks and the Gallagher’s. I swear you guys would complain about Eva to no end and when she had a slightly funny gimmick you all creamed for her. Give him time, maybe he’ll grow back on you, if not, he’s probably gonna end up being fired so there’s that for ya.

 

Ah ok I get it now, Neville is a better wrestler than Enzo. That's the problem. Makes sense.

Except wait a second that's literally Dolph's entire gimmick right now and you guys shit all over it.

"Neville may not be entertaining but he can wrestle! Neville rules!"

If you think that this thread holds the consensus that:
- Neville isn’t entertaining
- Dolph is a “great” wrestler

I completely get him being there to learn. Being thrusted right into the main title picture and then winning the title within a few weeks of being in the division just doesn't make sense and feels like a slap to the face of the others that have been busting their ass trying to get 205 Live over. I'm totally fine with Enzo being in the division, because yes, he needs to get better, and he does bring eyes to the show. But to be a champion this quick and still not be very good is weird to me.

Except Neville is entertaining and has done some of his best character work since returning as a heel.

 

If anything I think maybe Neville jumps to the midcard and out of 205 live. Dude is one of the best all-around guys in the company

 

That I agree with, he shouldn't be there in the first place. Enzo is a much better person to be in the "Neville role" of established guy to lead the division - entertaining enough to get people to care, but most people want to see him get beat.

Nobody wanted to see Neville lose and they established him as too good for any of those no-name (to the casual fan) guys to beat.

Everyone was gonna be pissed when Neville lost, might as well make it to the guy everyone hates. That's called heat, ya dipshits.

 

I’m just salty that Neville dropped it before we got a proper Neville/Cedric series

 

Therein lies the issue, I think this is largely false. Neville has had one of the best title reigns in years, he’s been a heel that cheats to win now and then but also can just beat a guy clean as a whistle. No one should get heat from beating a heel, the heel should go in with heat and the face should get over by giving him his comeuppance. Aries and Gallagher are examples of guys who were elevated by facing Neville.

 

Maybe Enzo will still be elevated, pretty safe to assume Neville is gonna ragdoll his ass in a rematch

I'm with Bones on this one too. Enzo being champion is a joke, yes. But literally everyone knows that. The rest of the guys in the division know that. Thats why Enzo cheated to win. Enzo, a face, cheated to beat Neville, an unstoppable heel. It can be taken as a slap to the face to the rest of the division, but it can also be taken as "okay now you have as many eyes on you as you have in the past year. Take advantage of it and kill Enzo," which is what probably will happen

How was the show? I saw him a couple of years ago and it was the best concert I've ever been to. I was upset I couldnt see him this tour cycle
