I enjoyed it, but you are right, the graphics are a little more "cartoony". The overall pace seems a bit slower as well. I am a bit biased though because it is one of my favorite franchises and I have already preordered the digital version.

 

I played a ton of Gears with my friends around when the 2nd one came out. It's basically exactly the same and I was quickly bored.

Also did anybody play Quantum Break? I was super disappointed by that one too. I guess I'm just negative.

 

Is it developed by a different team? Exactly, great description though, it feels "cartoony" to me too.

 

I loved Quantum Break. Story/gameplay, loved it. My game of the year right now. haha

 

I thoroughly enjoyed Quantum Break. When I was going through it I was saying to myself that the game may not click with a lot of people as the pace is pretty slow. In order to truly experience it, you have to read EVERYTHING as far as collectibles and watch the different paths you choose play out.

 

Surprisingly it is being led by Rod Fergusson who has worked on every single Gears game and another one of my all time favorites, Bioshock Infinite.

 

Yeah. It's developed by The Coalition. They used to be known as Black Tusk, a new MS studio created in Vancouver 3/4 years ago and MS cancelled their original game a while back and retooled the studio to a Gears only studio. This is their first game. There are some gears vets in the team tho.

 

Is CDkeys a legit site? I saw some games on there for cheap(Alan Wake and AC Unity) and I wanted to make sure it isn't a hoax.

I liked the story and graphics of Quantum Break, but it was seriously only a few hours of gameplay. Unless you consider walking around and reading emails for 45 minutes gameplay.

This is pretty spot on in my opinion:

 

Quantum Break looks cool enough, I just don't see myself playing it enough to warrant paying full price.

 

I decided to just buy the Nintendo Humble Bundle since I missed on the last one. I also bought AC Unity and Alan Wake.

I keep making my backlog worse but I can't stop myself.

I mean you're probably right, no idea..they still have time to tweak it I guess is what I'm getting at. The focus is most likely servers and so forth for the Beta.

 

I really hope that CoD ad is fake an Activision doesn't really try to sell this shit for $80.

 

They probably are, but that's Canadian price. Will be cheaper in US.

Just bought Dark Souls 3, any beginning tips from you all? I've been playing a strength character in DS1 using mostly a claymore and shield and I'd like to play something similar in DS3

 

I am sure it is fake.

 

I really enjoyed BO3 on release, I think Treyarch did a solid job. I just lost interest after Activision did what Activision does.
