I love Mark's work on Dude Ranch. That's probably my favorite blink album, just considering lyrics. Lemmings, Josie, Apple Shampoo, and Waggy are all so good, and of course Dammit. Nothing super poetic but Mark just had a knack for writing really relatable songs that came across feeling real, nothing forced, and still managing to work in humor that fit with the band's schtick. I think I've said it before in this thread but Mark really upstaged Tom on that album. Untitled is really the only Tom song I love off there.

very late on this, just heard the single..... i'm unsure of how i feel about it. My initial critique is that Skiba and Hoppus kinda sound similar? When i think of a blink song, i think of Mark and Tom, and the differences of their voiecs...ummmm, I also think i would have enjoyed a faster paced song for the single, but oh well.

    Decent enough song.

  3. Hahah. Well thanks for that! No one told me it was happening and I was totally floored. Top 5 moment from the website for sure for me, at least 3 of them are Blink related. Haha.

ok to counteract the anti-tom sentiment I wouldn't have fallen completely in love with this band without "dick lips"

I wouldn't have fallen in love with this band without Tom in general. Probably shouldn't admit this but he was one of my heroes for a good while

I think most people who were around at the time of Enema coming out Tom was a massive hero. Certainly was for me whilst I was between 10-15

    welp... everyone loves stories.

For my first time hearing Blink, alas, it was Dammit - Green Day was riding Dookie, and then this hit. Prior to both of them, It was considered college music for - Smiths, Echo, Cure turned into SubPop as I was 27 or so when Dammit hit the airwaves on 'Alternative' Radio. Wow.

The 90s had such great music then - as I was DJing in college, and learning of the new bands (hello: Superchunk) and new sounds.

But yeah - when Dammit hit, wow. And then everything else just fell right in. The 90s for me, will always be Seattle sound (as my girls call PJ, Nirvana, Soundgarden) and those will always have a special spot.... and after 2000, once my daughters were born, I didnt listen to us much new music, though I tried.

But now - going into used record stores, and having my daughters by a used Nevermind and Enema for $5 makes me happy :)

See you all on the lawn - my daughters and I. :)

Anyone else see the Tour Launch Party from Mark and Travis' etc. Snapchat stories? That looked crazy haha. Must have been a bit surreal to hear other people sing your songs karaoke, but I guess they're used to it by now.

Spent yesterday listening to Blink's discography and totally forgot how great the bridge of "21 Days" is.

How tall is Skiba? Considering Mark and Tom are both giants.

After having a day of listening to the new track, I feel that this could be the (musical) successor to TOYPAJ. Has those vibes.

Said I'm okay, but I know how to lie.

It's even growing on me and getting better. I loved it on first listen though. Anyone else feel this way?

On the kings road order status is shows that you don't have the drum bundle but in my confirmation email it says I have the drum bundle. So as long as you have that in your email you're fine! I guess they updated the actual package on the website once the drumheads sold out. Probably just an IT issue, no worries

  24. For anyone who gets their pre sale tour codes today, please let us know if they're actually a unique code or if it's the same code for anyone who preordered

You must fix your heart Supporter

I listened through the discography yesterday too and had almost the complete opposite reaction to Jason, haha.

Dude Ranch just doesn't do much for me, I don't have any connection to it and I don't really like any of the songs much. I think Enema is really good at what it does and I like listening to it but I'm not a huge fan of such straight up pop punk so I rarely do. TOYPAJ is an album I like a lot but I feel is one of their least consistent, along with Neighborhoods, some songs I love, some I don't like and a lot in the middle. Listening to the selftitled after all those honestly just made me love and appreciate it more despite having heard it more than all of the others combined. I never get bored of Tom on that album, haha. By the end I want more so badly I consider trying AvA again. Box Car would be the least consistent of any of them for me, some of my favourite songs any of them have done (Letters to God, There Is, Watch the World) but a lot of pretty weak stuff too. Neighborhoods I still like although I think thats horribly inconsistent too and the EP is still my second favourite release from them as a whole.

I think my opinions are always going to be different from a lot of fans who grew up on blinks early stuff though because I wasn't really a fan of blink until much later. Like Broden, I spent my youth listening to Busted and McFly so I'm much more into the pop side of pop punk.
