I have never really cared for Fork and Knife. I think Brand New could do an awesome Thrice-esque dark piano song though and I already like that hypothetical song.

Should 'My Nine Rides Shotgun' be in this one? I assume someone has already said that though so sorry.

I'm amazed so many have voted for Moshi Moshi too, it's one of the few Brand New songs I can say I really dislike.

9 was in YFW since it was a bonus song to that album.

Aright everyone it's time to press on. It's been a great round with a couple of matches being closer than anyone thought they'd be. But the round is at the time to end, and here are the totAls:

    Out Of Range-30
    Sealed To Me-11

    Nobody Moves-29
    Flying At Tree Level-12

You didn't read what I said. You use the Bracket Thread to take votes on what bracket is done next. When it's decided people go to that band's thread to play the game.

    1996 Vs. Battalions
    - These are probably my least two favorite of the demos, which I'd imagine would shock some people. Never really liked Battalions, and I'm glad it seemed to get scrapped and gutted to makes Archers because that song rips. 1996 I could get behind more but it's hard to take Jesse Lacey seriously when it sounds like he's doing a Morrissey impression the entire song. With these two choices I guess I'll go 1996 because I have an easier time handling Vin's impression of The Edge.

    Out Of Range Vs. aloC-acoC
    - Out Of Range is such a nice outlier in Brand New's catalogue and honestly makes me think Vin should sing more than just his occasional quips in songs like Same Logic and Noro. If Out Of Range are lyrics from Vin, they're easily his best. The way it uses cloth and fabric as metaphors for your relationships and connections in your life is incredibly poignant. That second verse is just heartbreaking. As for Coca-Cola, I've never entirely connected with its lyrics, always empathized more with Brothers. I do think Jesse writing the lyrics to Coca Cola off the cuff in the recording studio is pretty damn impressive though.

    Nobody Moves Vs. Good Man
    - I'm predicting that this will be the hardest matchup for this set of songs, always got the sense that these were the two fan favorites of the demos. Nobody Moves is a jam and even more so live, the bridge is straight up terrifying and the music perfectly accents the lyrics. As much as I like when Jesse is introspective with his lyrics, his fictional songs are almost always captivating. Good Man might be the best acoustic song the band has ever written though. With so many bands in these scene who have written vindictive songs about their former lovers (Brand New included), it's refreshing to have a tender song about waving goodbye to someone you once loved, happy that you've both moved on. Picking Good Man because I still hold out hope they release a re-rerecorded version at some point, or I can at least hear it live.

Missing You Vs. Fork And Knife
    - It might be because we had Fork and Knife around in good quality so much longer than we did Missing You, but I've grown a lot more attached to that song since it surfaced, while I only really got on the Missing You train once it was cleaned up for Leaked Demos 2006. Fork And Knife always makes me think Brand New should have more songs with piano. Fork And Knife makes me both happy and sad at the same time, which I think is always the tell of a special song. The intro and verses of Missing You are awesome though, and I'm glad that dark industrial sound was picked up when they got to Daisy. Picking that one mostly for a longer time to love the song, though give it a couple years for Missing You to catch up and I might change opinions.

1996 (super hard b/c I love Battalions and the fact that it's basically the original version of Archers, but I can't deny 1996)

    Nobody Moves
Missing you (I dig Fork and Knife's vibe, but I have a stronger emotional connection to Missing You)
