As mysterious as they can be, I agree that I really can't see them going out without an official goodbye where everyone knows it's goodbye. How cool would it be if their final show was literally on December 31st, 2018. I'd fly pretty much anywhere to be there (if I can get the tickets which will sell out in negative time probably. I'm already stressed about it.)

It's solid. Pretty good. I'm ready for S2.

 

Brand new set. I'm not a big KD fan but have enjoyed his live set the couple times I've seen him.

I'm saying if I'm paying to see Brand New for maybe the last time or on what of the last times I ever see them, I don't want to hear Kevin Devine songs.

For sure. I like to think there may still be a few surprises in store left for us. After all this is Brand New we are talking about here. Whether that means EP, song(s), some special type shows, maybe even something on NYE's, canadian tour (hopefully!!!!), UK/AUS. All finally culminating to their final show which can we officially say now that the chorus community here will come together for that one?!

Ps: In an ideal world we would have BN trivia olympics at said final show between various BN groups. Chorus vs reddit vs Deja Entinder to name a few lol

This post needs more likes. I said it in this thread recently. Since Science Fiction has been released i've gone back and read that letter again and it's mindblowing how accurate it turned out to be. I mean I already respected them immensely as artists and this album has only cemented my appreciation. So yeah from here on out I think it will be carefully and deliberately contructed to be a strange demise but also something very very special.

Edit: I honestly think this whole wall/fence thing not only looks good but its no coincidence that it's designed the way it is.

I've had similar thoughts. Monetarily, I don't know how I'd be able to pull it off, but I've always wanted to go to New York and this would be a damn good excuse

 

Let's just all agree to save tax returns for this next year lol, those of us that are better off financially than others could help pitch in on ticket purchases.

 

I will really try to travel to the last show, it'll just depend when it falls and if I can take PTO at the time or not. If it's on a Saturday just try and stop me (unless it's in like Antarctica or something).

Why do I feel like reddit would become completely stumped after the questions about YFW (I'm kidding I have no idea what the reddit BN community is like).

lit me up is such a crazy opener. so expansive and unlike anything they've ever opened an album with. kinda cool that they tried that huge introductory track a la bright eyes

 

still finding new things to love about this.
