The chorus of In A Jar hits so damn hard and I like the imagery portrayed in the lyrics. The line about having too many saviors is quite impactful for anyone who is either Christian or raised Christian and has struggled.

 

I also want to mention that I think the sequencing of this album is perfect and it's always baffled me when people say Bed after Vices doesn't make sense. I love the whiplash of those two songs next to each other. It's like they took the quiet/loud dynamic they're known for and applied it to the sequencing of those two, in a way I see them as a pair, almost can't listen to one without the other.

 

I agree, I think that sequencing is genius. As a stand-alone song though, "Bed" just never did anything for me. It's got beautiful guitar tones and that's kinda where it ends for me.

Daisy. I like vices but how is this close

Bed. I like sink more but don't get the bed hate. Album needs this song.

Also listened to this for the first time in full in a looong time and it's so exhausting yet so good.

I mean these are the 3 songs that I love the most from Daisy so there's no contest. I'd easily say that these 3 songs encompass everything that I wanted BN post-TDAG, heavy in your face songs but not just in your face for the sake of it. A massive intensity and greatness.

Sink: sink is one of their best and I love bed but I get so hype for this one in every setting.

Gasoline: I was going to pick In a Jar when I first read the match up (the lyrics are fantastic and the chorus is somehow catchy as fuck) but reading your guys posts reminded me that Gasoline slays.

Vices: There was already a great breakdown posted of what the instruments are doing here (I love the drums in particular), and Daisy is one that's almost a perfect track to me, but honestly, the final verse holds me back. The lyrics are great, but I just don't vibe with the instrumentation they went for there

Sink: I love some of the surfer chord strums in Bed, but Sink is so so good. The first song I heard by Brand New that demanded my attention (I had heard all of YFW at the time so...)
