Yeah could be, I just don't know why they wouldn't list it here haha. But Bungie does this all the time, they did it with the TTK subclasses, letting people speculate they weren't in the base game for way longer than they should have before it finally came out that they were, when they could have shut down that negativity with a tweet from Luke Smith. Same thing is gonna happen here.

I'm assuming there will be more than just two expansions also. the expansion pass says "two future releases" but the old D1 pass said the same thing and we ended up with 4 so who knows.

i think Bungie is going to release their "road map" for Destiny 2 soon? guess it'll give us an idea on whats coming

idk if theres ever been a game director who i both love and hate as much as him lol. one minute hes brilliant and the next he handles things very poorly IE the shader situation right now

There will most definitely be something next fall prob.

    Then I predict destiny 3 fall 2019 on PS4, PS5, xbo, xbgalactica

I 100% expect a similar path as Destiny 1 for major content - 2 expansion packs for end of 2017/spring 2018, a bigger, more expensive expansion for Sept. 2018, either Destiny 3 or big expansion 2 for 2019.

Also (relating to content in first DLC pack) I kind of never expected there to be a raid in the first DLC pack? I want one, obviously, but waiting until DLC 2 for a second raid gives some breathing room for hard mode stuff on PC, where DLC is supposed to be simultaneous with consoles even with the later release date.

Honestly from now on any paid expansion that doesn't include a raid is going to cause a lot of problems for them, in my opinion, from a publicity and goodwill standpoint. There's really no excuse for it, especially considering we've seen how going that long of a time between them works out for the community (i.e. between Dark Below and TTK, between TTK and RoI). It doesn't go well for the players. I fully expected one to be in it and still do, and if there isn't, well, that's a problem I think. We're going to be really, really hurting for endgame content around January/February if that's the case and DLC2 probably isn't coming until the end of April at the earliest. That can't happen.

Then again, I also think the expansion is releasing about a month too soon, considering there's going to be a huge gap between DLC 2 and next fall's expansion as a result, but hey what do I know.

I guess if you look at the DLCs from D1 then the first two felt like just DLC while Taken King and Iron felt more like expansions. Just seemed like those first two were more "here's something to stave off content drought also here's some more story stuff I guess" while Taken King and Iron were like "alright let's push this universe and this fiction forward and rework some things"

Either way I'm still excited for the future and I'm really really excited for the raid coming up

The problem is that content droughts are caused by a lack of endgame activities/loot to grind for. If the endgame exists in its current state for a full year, we're almost right back to TTK levels, only with a brief new story campaign every few months. Year 2 was very rough to get through as a Destiny fan, I really don't want that to happen again.

Post story content light spoilers: I'm way too low level to solo or even do this stuff (~235) and probably should be grinding out light levels instead but I saw what the Enhance! quest chain eventually leads to and dammit, I need it.

Regarding the rewards you get after completing the post-campaign World Quests: don't complete the exotic quest lines until you are AT LEAST 265-270 light already. The reason for this is that the exotics will drop at super high Power levels, both as a baseline and because of the +5 legendary weapon mods they always drop with. So those three exotic quests plus the three "Powerful Gear" milestones (Nightfall, Crucible Call to Arms, Flashpoint) are the only way to get weapons and armor with high enough light to help you get raid-ready.

    Mostly spoiler-free leveling guides:

Also, everyone should watch this video regarding legendary weapon/armor mods, it's super important if you want to be as high of a Power level as you can be while getting raid-ready.

Another thing I just realized for anyone getting raid-ready: craft solar weapon mods for your energy and power weapons. All cabal have solar shields, you'll always be causing those crispy explosions.

Friend convinced me to buy this game, it's really fun so far! Played a few hours this morning, only level 8 but it feels like it's starting to open up. Do we have a clan or something that I can join? My PSN is the same name as here.

Finished the campaign, hit level 20 and I'm up to 220 power today. Not bad. Campaign was great those last couple of levels were fantastic. Gonna do all the adventures next I think. They're surprisingly meaty.

    Post campaign quest line spoiler

that on the comms questions set up for the raid is really interesting
