yeah jerry finn did some great work on some of my favorite albums ever (blink, afi, moz) but I I think john feldy did great on this new single. 100x better than neighborhoods prod imo

 

Those are two different styles of songs. Of course the production will be different.

He was great. I bet he'd be doing similar things with their sound in 2016 though, or they'd still be using Neal to mix, because of what's needed to get a song into the radio. Different songs, different goals. Comparing the two doesn't make much sense IMO.

I like both for when they were released and what they were both trying to accomplish.

 

Yeah that's what I'm guessing. Maybe a few random pre-tour shows? I dunno, I'm just hoping for some more details on the recording process I suppose.

Side note: Goddamn, I sure don't miss listening to morning talk radio.

 

Feldmann worked perfect here for blink I think. If they had tried to push it to levels of trying new things that Jerry did, this would have been a Used mess times ten. Can't replicate what Finn did.

 

Unfortunately I can't go to the Bethlehem or Camden show due to the girlfriend and I being on a budget.

Haha it's funny-- because I actually am. I usually split my train rides to work about 50/50 between music and podcasts (WTF, Encore, and Matt Pryor's Nothing to Write Home About). Wish Pryor would do his on a more consistent basis though.
