It's just hard to understand that a thread about Brand New can't understand that lots of people can dislike an album at the same time lots of people like an album.

Brand New is literally the perfect example of this with Daisy

 

Tom was terrible trying to play and sing Blink songs.

 

spoiler alert: people are annoyed.

 

Sadly, only twice. But due to when they occurred I have gotten to hear all of Deja minus Tautou and Guernica and all of TDAG minus Untitled.

I also was one of the first shows to hear Sowing Season and Degausser live.

I would love to see them again, esp to hear Science Fiction jams... But if I don't I am content.

 

GREAT record. I love the changes in songs. Goes loud then quiet. The last three tracks are my favorite

 

Well yeah they are.

But I'm talking about for a different reason

 

Like songs that he wrote? ^ I'm confused lol

 

Love that you dug it!! I really think it falls under a few different genres in terms of sound. Really cool record that fits well into the transition from summer to fall.

 

You don't have to add "in my opinion", just use "I" statements: "I don't like this", "I think YFW is the best Brand New album", "Tom DeLonge is my favorite musician", etc.

 

I also enjoy Laura Stevenson's Wheel.

 

That's not bad at all! I've still never seen Not The Sun live and it's one of my faves :(

Definitely looking forward to hearing Science Fiction live.

I couldn't listen TOO closely to the lyrics, but was it a concept record? I heard Wheel mentioned a couple of times during the record.

 

I saw the co headline with Thrice. They just played the whole album. The only reason I didn't get Untitled was because Jesse fucked up the loops and they played 70x7.

 

I wanna say I've seen them 6 times?

I can't imagine seeing any band 50 times. I think I've maybe gone to like 75 shows total.

 

Do I dare ask what I missed?

No. He called me a prick again and I wanted to end the war I try to wage when he posts (from the good old mike'smannequin days). I was a jerk about Yellowcard. We are friends again. He's a charming man.

I LOVED that Laura Stevenson record. She's a horrible songwriter
