I like this song a lot. Seems like they're turning up the guitars again on this record, which was my core complaint about a lot of Songs of Innocence. You couldn't hear The Edge enough.

Dig it. Sounds like a U2 song, and I like U2 songs.

 

The record includes contributions from Royal Blood, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Jacknife Lee, and Steve Lillywhite. Songs of Experience also features a fleshed-out version of Bono’s contributions to “XXX.” (from Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN.). The Times describes it as “a full-length song about America and its history of welcoming immigrants.”

 

New album coming fall 2017.

 

Looks like December 1 is the date. Can't wait!

New song is alright, nowhere near as good as Blackout. It's a pretty straightforward pop song with some seriously questionable decisions in the arrangement/mixes. I'm sure they overthought this thing to hell and back and some things were lost along the way.

But it's still a catchy as hell chorus and might get some decent run on radios/playlists.

The acoustic version of You’re the Best Thing About Me really sold me on the song. I hadn’t given it too many listens before that came out, but since then I’ve been much more into it. Very excited for this album
