Seeing them hit #1 certainly makes me feel vindicated, ha. What an immense and undeniably impressive feat.

 

My group of friends has always tried to make me feel stupid for putting Brand New above like Thrice. They would always say things like "I mean they can be your favorite but you can't honestly think they are better musicians than Thrice". Well I feel VINDICATED

 

Yeah, as much I love Thrice, Brand New have always had that "it" factor that Thrice has never had. Having said that, I love seeing them both find continued success this late into their careers.

 

Both bands are super talented but that conversation should have stopped happening after the devil and god

That being said, the only album from that time period holding a candle to TDAG, is Vheissu.

 

Oh yea absolutely I just mean the conversation that thrice were better musicians ha.

I'll get heat for this but I do believe thrice is the better live sounding band out of the two.

 

'Beggars' and V' are up there imo, and Teppei does guitar stuff in every album I'm glad Vinnie finally gets to play with too.

 

Imo i just think its incredible that Thrice, BN and even MO have just released records that I consider to be some of their finest work ever. All 3 occupy a permanent place in my pantheon of all time favorite bands.
