451 reminds me of Not The Sun.
Two different songs genre wise, but both have interesting harmonies and the most insane melodies as choruses.

Might be one of my favorites from them.

    Shut the FFFFFFRESHFISH UP

I was thinking about the Grammy question, and I feel like they could honestly have a good shot at Best Alternative album, which is nuts but based off of reviews, and getting #1 on the Billboard 200, it's possible.

Not that I think it's a necessary or important thing for them (or us) because it's a great album regardless, but it would be pretty cool for them to go out with a bunch of accolades.

Unrelated: listening to Out of Mana, and in the bridge I totally hear "oh greeeeaaat game creatooooorr" instead of "I'll break and create life." It fits the theme of the song still, although it is much less badass lol. Anyone else hear that or am I nuts?

    Shut the FFFFFFRESHFISH UP

I could be wrong but I think they pull lyrics from Genius

    LIGHTEN UP, BUTTERCUP Prestigious

Worst culprit for this kinda for me was when NFG's Sticks n Stones came out and not knowing about the "secret track" that kicks in. Most terrifying wake up out of a deep sleep I think I've had.

This thread went more than an hour without a post, unacceptable!

Listened to this on a run again this morning, after taking yesterday off, and it grows on me with every listen.

I love “Lit Me Up” as the opener, especially as compared with / a companion to “Vices”. It’s more subdued, but just as heavy in its own way.

What's the worst lyric on this album? Jesse always has clunkers, but I can't think of any offhand for this one.

Camden Waterfront is as "dangerous" as any Philly venue neighborhood. These people are posers.

fish line is clunky but more for the delivery than the actual lyrics

as much as i like 137 let's all go play nagasaki is a little on the nose

The part about the fish at the bottom of the ocean. I guess mostly the delivery bugs me because it sounds like a random They Might Be Giants cameo.

The fish line/delivery is so ridiculous that's it's actually a highlight of the album for me.

I don't think my top 5 or bottom 3 have changed for this since I first started listening:

Top 5: Desert, Could Never Be Heaven, Same Logic, In the Water, 137

Bottom 3 (although still enjoy): No Control, 451, Out of Mana (although the outro is phenomenal)

The whole "jibber jabber" line came to mind:

    "Did we build Babel together
    Jibber jabber, changing colors
    Aliens talking to airplanes
Every time the place is the same
Hope we can do this forever"

I agree with this, except I'd replace 451 with Can't get it out

Nagasaki works bc our country likes to pretend that bomb never happened. You always here peole talk about Hiroshima but rarely is Nagasaki brought up.
