The song isn't TERRIBLE but

Oh my god nevermind the phone call part made me physically cringe

That was extremely corny. The rest of the song wasn't too bad.

 

Don't you automatically lose if he is on your side? Didn't we collectively decide that? I thought that was decided.

He's having himself a year that's for sure. I'm so impressed he still comes up with things (love or hate) that sound original and different.

 

It's ok...I was coming around to the chorus by the end of the song. I don't think this is better than any singles from 1989. Doesn't have much identity. I feel like most pop acts could have been given this song.

 

What a crazy contrast between her last first single "Shake It Off", which was all about not letting shit get to you.

 

Ok second listen and honestly I kind of really like the phone call, the delivery she gives at the end of it really sells it for me somehow

 

honestly remember how we all felt when the sick beat part of Shake It Off came, I don't think it's any less embarrassing than the phone call Taylor gonna Tay Tay Tay

 

I'm slowly learning that I like most Jack-produced things more than Jack's actual music

 

Yeah "that sick beat" is way worse than this voicemail bit.

 

Shake It Off was track #6 on 1989 if that counts towards anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My first thought was "Marianas Trench woulda written that bridge" it's cheesy but I kinda like it.

Songs gonna have an impact on pop music for a while. It's not "safe" either. I give it points for that.

 

Like other Twitters have said, it comes off as a little too calculated. I have no worries about the rest of the album. But it's by far the weakest lead single she's released.

 

song is definitely an ear worm, but does that make it good? Its definitely interesting/challenging but I'm not sure if I enjoy it yet.

this doesn't feel like a massive radio hit, but i have no idea why despacito is so huge either

 

I still to this day don't particularly like Shake It Off so I'm already vibing with this one more

 

I'm more obsessed with this ... it's fascinating to me.
