Listened and loved it a ton. It's a little bit of everything rolled into one.

Side note: There was more than one moment though where I thought - this is what Tom tried and failed to do. Couldn't help but think that. (edit: mainly referring to the "whoa-oh-oh" and the synths.)

 

I was wondering this too. I think it was something obscure like you could see it written in the background of an Instagram post and then someone related to studio production hashtagged it. It was basically just repeated a couple of times, from what I remember. Not enough to infer the title would be California, but not crazy to guess that it would be called that.

 

While this song does sound like +44 at times, it also sounds like a song that fits right between TOYPAJ and Untitled.

Maybe the YouTube Video and Site where set for a certain time to upload after they had appeared on KROQ and they have set it from the wrong day?

Chorus is pretty good, Matt and Mark have both done better. Verse-wise, Mark was okay but Matt's was killer. And god fucking damn it, I love that bridge. Seriously Mark Hoppus never stop writing bridges with vocals ever again.

I actually thought the bridge lyrics were classic Mark and the verses were more Skiba haha.

I don't think it's a "new direction" really. It's a pretty unmistakable Mark melody although the production is "bigger" I guess. It sounds like everyone actually put effort into it. You can really tell how half assed Neighborhoods and DED were in comparison.

 

i am feeling pretty damn good right now. love the single, possible album tomorrow, and get to see my younger brother for the first time in two years tonight.

I really like this song. It's surpassed my expectations of how good a Blink 182 song in 2016 should be. Really looking forward to the album and Matt Skiba's contribution.

I love this song. I think it kind of confirms that Tom was the driving force behind a lot of Untitled, but I wouldn't really call this a regression, either.
