Honestly, I love how the last few nights have been, "damn, this thread was a trip today" expecting that to be it and then every day it delivers in some bizarre way lol

I really don't think so. I'm keeping my expectations low but this dude does not seem to disappoint

That along with the general tone of the song and the guitar strumming really gives me Gorillaz vibes and I feel like I'm the only one who feels that way lol

You've spent 10 hours a day listening to this!

Also you need to listen to A Black Mile to the Surface more

Would you say Science Fiction is a good winter album?

It takes me a little longer to process certain songs than most folks, I guess. It's still probably my least favorite track on the record, but I'm absolutely warming up to it.

Batter up is one of my favorite tracks on the album, probably top two or three, but it took me a couple of days to get into it.

I remember it took me like a solid half a year for TDAG to click with me/have that massive "a-ha!" moment. Totally worth the wait.

I can always be better, so I'll always try. Supporter

There's a purity there that you have to respect. Keep trying and don't give up hope--maybe you'll get the interview in eight years.

Honestly, I feel this album has the potential to be the best in their catalog. It is good and experimental enough to not quite 'get it' the first time through, but gets you to come back and listen again and that's when it is all over. It keeps getting better with each new listen. I listened to it back to back to back on my 6 hour drive on Friday and by the time I got to DC, I was convinced of just this. It hit me just like Devil did so many years ago. Am I crazy, but I hear a lot of early 90's influence i.e. nirvana, alice in chains and even cranberries???? Or is it just me???

  24. The Cranberries in Waste and Alice In Chains in Out of Mana, right?? Not just you!

Definitely hear the Alice in Chains in that song! Also weirdly my first reaction to hearing Lit Me Up was Keep Your Eyes Peeled by Queens of the Stone Age, has that kind of sluggish, dark feel. Also generally a lot of QOTSA on the album (451 for instance)
