If I didn't want to go to law school (which doesn't cross int'l borders well) I'd be trying to talk my gf into moving to Calgary with me after I graduate in May. It was seriously that great

Haven't been, I'm sure I'd like it. I just say Calgary cause it's a nice largeish city but you're like 45 min from the mountains

 

Just promise me you won't become a Flames fan

We talked about the new album for 3 days now we need a new album

 

The 2 french canadian bands that I like are Capitaine Révolte (incorrectly entered on apple music as Captain Revolte lol) and Les Cowboys Fringants. Both are excellent and I'm sure would be enjoyable even if you don't understand what they are saying, the music is real good. Both bands use so many instruments in a lot of their songs kinda like BN's new album actually.

 

Good stuff Preds are good in my books. Don't listen to the Calgarians and their oilers hate though

 

Whistler is BEAUTIFUL. You'll love it. You will never meet more Australians outside of Australia than in Whistler

 

You should check out The Moon Runners, they're the band I was just mentioning from SK

 

Haha yeah man, my great great grandpa settled some small town next to Cardston and is buried up there and when I was like 15 my dad and grandpa dragged me up there on a road trip to see his grave and stuff.

No man, there was like a big rodeo in town and all the hotels like within any reasonable distance were booked out and we didn't plan well and had to drive all the way back to somewhere in Montana that night and didn't make it to Waterton. I've heard it's amazing there though!

Track 2 on that one was the one single that gave them a bit of exposure when it came out at the time. Great live band.
