It's definitely ridiculously early to be doing this but I'll join you. For me...personally..., it would definitely be(currently at least)....

    TDAG >> SF=Daisy >Deja >> YFW

( I love Daisy and TDAG. I think both are classics, just different flavors. But I think TDAG is more of a magnum opus for them. I think it's subjectively the better album than Daisy...though I honestly do love Daisy. The TDAG is just such a special, unique, brilliantly realized album I feel like....it's hard to compete with it.

Deja's great. And at the time of it's release it was incredible in the genre. It's much more straight forward than their subsequent albums though. When I listen to it now it kind of sounds very "of it's time", in a way.....but still fantastic...because it's Deja ofcourse. But I dont think it's as timeless, or as interesting, as the the later albums are.

YFW, I don't even feel like it's the same band...the band has morphed into something else entirely from what they were in those early days.

Brand New will be a band that people refer to as influences for decades to come probably, but I think that ultimately will be because of albums like TDAG, Daisy, and SF.....not Deja/YFW.)

Agreed, but it's probably the only Brand New album I still feel so dissapointed in.

I have this feeling the "very limited vinyl" will include a 10" of unreleased songs but I'm probably wrong lol.

I would absolutely love for them to release another record next year cause you know they have probably 30-50 additional songs written. I mean it's been 8 years since Daisy and even though they took time off.. still.. 8 years..

With all that said; if Science Fiction is truly the last record from these guys forever- what a fantastic record to end on. I love it.

Still confused why so many people are struggling to listen to it on Spotify, I've had it working since it popped up...

No Control has brought back the joy of sitting in my bedroom and playing songs with five power chords

    The Feeling and the Sound

I'm having an existential crisis trying to rank the albums because I'm not sure if Deja is my favorite because it's the best or because it's the first album I heard from BN. So many of my favorite albums are only my favorites because they were my intro to the artists, and there's nostalgia attached. So musically my list is SF > Daisy > TDAG > Deja > YFW, because they genuinely got better and better with each release. Emotionally, though, it's Deja > Daisy > SF > TDAG > YFW.

I haven't stopped listening to this since they released it. Like, constantly. This band means so much to me, this record is perfect. Maybe in a week or so I'll be able to compose my thoughts better but until then I'm gonna lay back and keep this on repeat

I would spend a dumb amount of money on a Nobody Moves 7 inch. Demo on one side, new version on the other.

Do it Brand New. Do it.

There's the sound of helicopters in 137 that took me a few listens until I picked up on them. I'm not the best on getting that stuff right away ha

Does anyone hear a call back to a part of the melody of Kevin Devine's Brothers Blood on No Control? Felt like part of why the Nirvana type sound made sense to me

Finally had a chance to give this a proper listen last night. Got home around 11:30, sat down, smoked a bowl and listened with the lights off. What. An. Album. I pre-ordered the standard vinyl yesterday as well, can't wait to have this on my turntable. This record is an amazing progression from Daisy. Where, to me anyway, Daisy sounded very raw (in a good way) this one comes across as an absolute masterpiece. Amazing.
