Still think Daisy is their second weakest effort after YFW. Half killer half filler for me.

It's a little early but it's looking like;

Devil and God > Science Fiction >>> Deja Entendu > Daisy > YFW


Science Fiction is seriously stupid good that I could see it knocking off Devil As #1 on my list down the road. Can't wait for my "very limited vinyl" to come in October

 

Do it! Yeah BN headlining is everything but the line up is really solid as well. I'm flying from SF just for it.

I'm going to try! Obviously I want to hear all the Science Fiction songs but I also really want to see Death Cab and Now, Now

 

Kinda wild that in all these years, they played three new songs and not one is from the album. Iirc they road tested at least one or two songs from each album starting with Deja, no? They kept this one under heavy wraps, which is weird because you'd think they'd get bored playing their usual set

 

I'm so jealous! Im super tempted to fly or drive to the show but not sure it's possible.

 

don't say goober you big dork! Daisy is a bad album and this album took all of their 90s influences and did it 10000 times better

Hearing this album just makes me think of how many great songs this band has written that we've probably never heard.

 

Sowing Season might actually be my fav BN song so its by default my favorite opener but Vices and Lit Me Up are pretty god damn spectacular

 

This! They have to have albums and albums and albums of unreleased material

 

I think Can Never Be Heaven is my current song of the year. Or #2 at the lowest

 

I saw Now,Now last month here in SF and saw Death Cab right before Kintsugi came out so I'm excited to see them but even more excited for Charly Bliss, Citizen, Kevin Devine, and Best Coast!

 

Each of their openers is so special to me because each one has signaled an unexpected shift for me. I've known I'd love each album after hearing each opener.

 

Lit Me Up doesn't even come close to Sowing Season, but that's just me

 

I left for a bachelor party this weekend. Did not expect this thread to explode to this extent.

I've listened to this about 5-6 times and have enjoyed it more each time.

I really thought they were washed up. I was so wrong.

 

Gonna understandably get flak for this, so cannons at the ready, but I think this isn't the last music we'll hear from Brand New before the end of October.

 

Tautou is an underrated opening track. Sowing Season is my favorite though. Pretty sure I had a stroke the first time I listened to it because it was that awesome. I can't remember.

Vices just sets the rest of Daisy up nicely. Killer song and I pooped my pants when I first heard it.

hmm, I'm listening to the leaked demos right now. first thing I've listened to that isnt Science Fiction. So good. I Hope we get something else from them at some point but I know that its very unlikely.. What a 5 album run though, very grateful I got to witness this bands entire career.
