Same. Never understood why people hype of Ronald McDonald. I know people who will only listen to music that Ronald McDonald thinks is good and there's so much wrong with that. Like man, form your own opinions.

Desert, No Control, and Batter Up are my favorites so far. Not even subject to change, that will. As of this point though, I think I can say No Control has the most potential as a hit song for them. Not saying it will be, just out of all their material it's the one song I could see being a big one for them.

If it is it's either Same Logic or In The Water. Lit Me Up and Batter Up are perfect for openers and closers, but in terms of best songs i'd argue those two are serious contenders.

One of my complaints with album review videos is that they heavily lean to track-by-track analysis, which I don't personally like. ARTV does that a lot, I used to watch his videos quite a bit in the past. I'll give this one a try later though.

  9. Video reviews are never good as a rule. Although when I used to smoke i'd get high as fuck and watch the dead end hip hop ones lol

  10. I'm not sure I like it more than "Jesus" but I'm willing to say BN's second-best song is "In the Water"

haha ya it is, why I said it's a dumb question. I'm still curious about the knee jerk reactions here. Mine personally is no, Degausser reigns supreme. But we'll see.

Something I can say confidently: Batter Up is the strongest closer of any of their albums, by a long shot.

Lit Me Up has probably one of the biggest "grower" potentials for me. Most of my favorite Brand New songs struck me as favorites immediately and stuck that way (Millstone, At The Bottom, IAAN, etc.), but Lit Me Up is a song that I was okay with at first and have been loving it more with every listen. I can definitely see it being one of my most beloved songs from the band in the future.

Allowing other songs to grow and my feelings for this album to simmer, of course.

ya I can see that. Someone else mentioned it but it's a good match up for Sowing Season as an opener, and the more I've listened to it the more I've like it.

"Under the ocean, next to a boy named Vin."

Lol I hear that in 137. I know those aren't the lyrics.

I love Sowing Season so much! Season is my tag/username when I play competitive Smash Bros, haha!

I love Brand New's openers. Tautou is a song I forgot to mention in terms of favorites that struck me immediately. When i first heard Deja, my entire perception of music changed cuz I never listened to anything outside of radio hits and generic pop punk melodies. The atmosphere and mood of it was groundbreaking and completely shaped my musical taste since.

Well how 'bout that! I'm pretty sure I've only seen it live once, at the LI album show, and didn't catch who actually sang it.

    It's much better live.

This was the weekend of driving around with Brand New. When I wasn't listening to it, I wanted to. I wonder if other bands thought "well we should have a top 5 album for the ye- wait, what did you say? Brand New released their album? Shit!"

I toally miss-read your original question.

My answer is No. Can Never Be Heaven and Desert sit right outside of my top 10 though

I don't think my top 4 Brand New songs will ever change, they are pretty much cemented at this point. Jude Law, Sic Transit, You Won't Know, and Jesus Christ.
