  1. Do we know anything more about the context of the album art photo/whether black dress girl broke her ankle? (Looks like blue skirt stuck the landing to me)

  2. My final thoughts on YFW are THANK GOD I didn't stay 18 forever and that I missed plenty of parties

Someone posted the source for the album art on Reddit somewhere but I don't remember where exactly

I feel like the girl in blue landed on the car first but the girl in the red definitely saw a night or two in the hospital

    edit:

eh maybe she didn't hit the car. RIP both girls

It was a professional photo shoot with an established model. Pretty sure they landed on a mat that was shopped out or there is some other sort of computer trickery. I'll try and find the link

  7. Girl in red might have landed on the car behind the benz tbh

We all thought that article about the TDAG girl was interesting; these girls have a story that needs to be told.

I wouldn't be comfortable relating to most of the songs on YFW at 23. I was a worse person when I started listening to this band when I was 18 and really connected with YFW. I'd guess Jesse feels similarly after hearing the Sealed to Me speech.

I wonder if there is a point to holding out hope for a studio version of Sealed to Me.

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

Here's a ranking that is frankly rather surprising no one has brought up yet: the "GOAT" conversation between Thrice and Brand New has been debated quite a few years here now, going way back through AP.net. I wouldn't mind hearing opinions once our heads are a tad clearer and removed from this release.

i dont know exactly how to explain this, or if im even going to be able to articulate this thought into words. but now that Brand New has put out a record in 2017, it just makes Daisy and Devil feel really..... old. Not old as in aged, its not that. its more like... "oh wow... that was 2009 and 2006". and there is a new one this year. i dno, i cant really explain it. i guess before - Daisy especially - it was the most recent Brand New album. but now it isnt and all of a sudden that seems like a way longer time because this album exists.

its weird. i feel old. if someone wouldve told me in 2009 that the next time Brand New put out an album id be married, i wouldve laughed.

one more thought in this jambled up post. This is the happiest ive been with a "comeback" record maybe ever. like yeah they didnt break up, or ever officially go on hiatus. but lets be honest, they couldve in that time lol. also some of the breaks in between their tours during the duration of the past 7 years were almost as long as some bands "hiatus's". for some reason i feel like other bands when they stop for that long and come back im always a little disappointed, but this album is just so good.

All the little mini songs/interludes on this album are perfect. Esp that little quick jam sesh after No Control.

It makes sense. In my brain, Daisy came out like four years ago lol.

  20. So turns out that I like IAAN a lot more now that I know that the new record as a whole sounds NOTHING like it

It's good for what it is for sure. I think that we now know what the album actually sounds like, it makes them (Mene too) more digestible. Less "oh, it's X many years, and we get this?"
