Phew. Thank god. Now you know I am a real fan after all. Glad we could solve this.

 

It's a good/okay album

 

Time to get a new job.

 

I don't revisit it much at all. When I feel angsty I'll toss it on and it's okay

 

I hardly ever listen to YFW as a full album, but whenever a song comes on shuffle I won't skip it. Compared to any of their other albums, where I have to listen to it all the way through.

 

So, before the thread got re-hijacked, I asked how high MO got on the iTunes chart with
A Black Mile.

Anyone remember?

 

one of the times I've laughed hardest at the encore podcast was when Jason was talking about something re: one of those new pop-punk bands but couldn't remember their name and said, "knuckle deep"

why do these bands have these names lmao

I don't really listen to anything off YFW anymore except for "Mix Tape" which is like 30% due to nostalgia

 

One of their best songs ever written

 

i really enjoy the novelty as well as the phrasing of this post a lot

 

The only time I listen to YFW anymore is the day of or before a Brand New show.

They rarely play those songs but I still understand why you would want to do that

 

Sorry if this has been discussed but is "Out of Mana" really about World of Warcraft? After reading that 'explanation' the lyrics make sense and I can't get it out of my head

 

I think my think about YFW vs. Deja is that I don't care for the snotty sneered-lip pop-punk attitude in the slightest anymore (think: Tommy Gun, Mix Tape, 70x7 etc etc) but it's more palatable/fun to me on a faster, looser record like YFW.

But the songs on Deja that move past the above attitude I definitely still like more than anything on YFW (see: Maradona, Jaws, Boy Who Blocked)

 

Fuck yes #1 on iTunes even if it's brief.

(This is like when Tom Green's The BumBum Song got #1 on TRL!)
