  1. I mean I've been ready to call it their best song not named Jesus since my first listen but I was trying to be less inflammatory in that post lol

Only listened to this album once, thought it was fine. Liked Can't Get It Out and In the Water the most

i agree though, i feel like just over the past 3 years especially that youre in the minority to still love Deja for Deja and not for nostalgia. and i dont really get it

Neck Deep is some of the worst music ever.

This is a band that's really forged friendships for me that hold strong today. I'm headed to see them in October with the same group that I went with 10 years ago. Can't think of another band that became such a talking point/shared experience for my friends and I.

Remember scouring the Wildwood boardwalk's CD store to pick up YFW & Deja after my friend burned copies for me. Think I also grabbed a Rise Against album lol

Yeah tatuou is ehhh but it kicks into sic transit the song that got me into them (thanks fuse) so I let it slide. Idk I used to like pcts a lot but overtime the lyrics haven't really held up the shipwreck metaphor for a relationship is cliche and since it's just acoustic it relies on the lyrics more than other songs on the record. Other than that it's still a good album, elevated to great due to my nostalgia with it, but without that nostalgia idk if I'd think it's great

Mix Tape is still a jam. I'll ride for a decent portion of this album and hope they play some of it this tour. Always fun to sing along to

YFW is way better than a majority of early 00s pop punk but that's a real low bar

Good To Know is one of the most underrated Eagles songs ever

Oh, yeah, PCTS is a song that I found super deep in freshman year that has definitely faded over time. Mostly nostalgia

Good To Know is one of the most under rated Brand New songs ever

    (but actually)

  18. I seriously don't think I've listened to Deja in at least three years. Will change that soon

Tommy Gun is probably my favorite

The demos immediately take me back to sitting in my living room listening to them on repeat bc that's where the computer was. First release that dropped while I was an active fan of the band

Brand New was my first concert and they were touring TDAG so that was just massive for me. I'll throw on Tommy Gun or Play Crack the Sky from time to time but I just can't get into the album as a whole.

ill never forget being 18 and Jesse playing Soco as an encore and ngl 18 year old me cried because that song meant a loooot to me at the time.

id also feeling misleading if i didnt mention that when they opened with Soco when i saw them at 22 i cried, so whatever.

Not as embarrassing as being a 20-year old rapper who sampled No Seatbelt Song crappily

451 has the best chorus on here I think, can't wait for that live
