Oh man! I think I finally, after like, years, figured out how to get local files to download to Spotify on my phone! It's taking a long time but this album is downloading into my playlist!

    It's my mum's dodge caravan

Dunno who said it but getting pretty strong Electioneering vibes in 451, and generally a Radiohead feel overall, which is definitely a plus!

Last time I downloaded local files into Spotify and got it to work, that album stopped working in Spotify so when I got a new computer, Blink-182's Neighborhoods stopped working on Spotify completely even after the local files weren't there anymore. Such a garbage feature honestly, never works right.

It's all good! It's rarely a problem for me. It ended up just being a problem with my firewall. I have minimal computer knowledge so I never thought to check that in the first place. Just glad I understand now!

Yikes, that does not sound good. Hopefully nothing like that happens to me.

Man, yesterday and today my boss was off of work so I don't feel guilty listening to music at my desk. (His cubicle is right across from me or else I'd do it anyway)

Next week is going to suck not listening to Science Fiction on repeat :/

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Local Files and syncing is terrible.

Local Files and trying to sync live Phish shows is legitimately the 7th circle of hell.

I've been bouncing back and forth between Brand New's other music and SciFi all day. I can't just sit and listen to the same album on repeat for 8 hours, no matter how incredible it is. (But I still only want to listen to Brand New).

I don't have the nostalgic attachment to Deja and YFW, so I live in a TDAG, Daisy (and now Science Fiction) bubble when it comes to this band. Listened to the other two once and SciFi... 4 times today?

can't read every post in this thread but does anyone else think the verses of Can't Get It Out sound nearly identical to In The G'rage by =w=eezer?

You make it sound like Drja is only a good album due to nostalgia which is not even close to accurate

So many of these lyrics can have a double meaning when you hear them another time. Like this one in "Desert":

If I believe only half what I read
I got a reason to be dug in deep

On the surface, it's the subject talking about about the unholy things he reads about in the news. It could also be referring to how people tend to only listen to people/sources who already align with their viewpoint, ignoring the other half.

On another level it could be talking about how people interpret the Bible. Do they take it as literal or mostly metaphors? It also touches on how people can be all to quick to use the Bible as a defense but then are quick to ignore some other sections of it that don't necessarily support their arguments.

This might be my new favorite album of theirs. TDAG has been my go-to for a decade, but I've been enraptured by this album. With all the heavy bullshit going on in the world, it felt nice to shut it all out for the night.

I wouldn't like it as much as I do if I didn't have nostalgic attachment to it tbh
