I kinda like this album.

 

thats what makes this band so special. when i was listening i constantly found myself thinking a song was about to go one way and then they do something completely unexpected. the parts you are referencing totally freaked my wife out when we were listening in the car yesterday

 

Also I havnt gotten the chance to say this yet in this thread, but after listening to this album like 5 or 6 times already, what the hell was IAAN lol

 

Hey, I might be looking into this a bit too much, but does anyone see a connection between Limousine and Waste? These lyrics seem like they could be written from the perspective of the father of the drunk driver from Limousine. Or someone involved with the drunk driver.

IAAN sounds nothing like YFW at all

it's a straight up catchy alt rock song, it's great but not in the vibe of this album one bit

Not sure if it's been covered in this thread, but I emailed the album art photographer, and he never knew the other band used the photo and didn't give them permission.

Holy shit guys. This thread has 1500 more posts than when I last looked at it last night.

 

I don't mean it sounds like YFW because that album is very much an album of its time. IAAN (to me) sounds like a straight forward catchy rock song (like you described) which is more or less what most of YFW is too, that's why i compared the two.

 

not really? the influences come from very different points, IAAN is far more musically interesting and the lyrics are far better as well.

i genuinely see zero comparison here lol
