Did you catch the lyrics for the whole song? It's a very political song, and it's not just thrown there out of context. It's pretty explicitly from the point of view of a hardcore conservative christian, and doesn't exactly paint them in the most positive light.

 

Listening to the full song it seems to be written from a specific kind of person's perspective. One I'd say is painted as retrograde.

 

Folks, I'm at work and haven't been able to check this out. Does it sound more like Daisy, more like Devil, or neither?

I like most of it, really like a few songs and wasn't into a few songs which is pretty much how I feel about Daisy.

Has nothing to do with Nostalgia because I'm not even a long time Brand New fan. Didn't even know who they were until TDAG and didn't start listening to them constantly until years later.

I'm a huge Pop Punk fan [My second favorite genre if you break down sub genres] so maybe that has something to do with it.

The songs are just all so good and catchy and the lyrics are great. I will say it's only Barely above Deja Entendu though.

Yeah I thought it might be like that, only listened once and "yikes"'d my way through it. Will have to pick apart the full songs lyrics.
