Don't think anything will top me speeding to Best Buy on Deja's release date, RUNNING inside the second they opened, ripping off the shrinkwrap and being floored on my first listen. Also won't ever forget the first time I played TDAG and the end of "Luna" scared the shit of out of me.

 

The coolest part about the demos leaking was having heard about Brothers ("theres a song with the lyrics 'lying like lions'") from a show review months (maybe even a year?!) before that and 0 audio making it to the internet, then finally hearing that. The early 2000s were such a different time for shows haha

 

I'm in the UK so I'll laugh if the CD turns up randomly in like 3 weeks.

61 minutes?! I was so frightened we were getting a 10-track featuring IAAN and Mene.

I reckon it's worth mentioning the track titles that did get picked up via Shazam! Annoyingly Shazam took the ability to discover it down, so its just the ones we got at the time (unless the guys on Reddit did it!).

 

I only listened to the first two songs from the livestream, but whatever the second track is (with the whistling in the intro) sounds really great.

The chorus sounds huge.

 

Does anyone remember signing up to "maybe receive something" from PMT when that first went up? I know I gave them my address and it mentioned possibly getting sent things or not and it was very cryptic. Has anybody compared people who were on that signup to who all is getting it now?

I'm still in shock this album is real and out there. Most of us were denying they'd even have a fifth album like a week ago.

It's bittersweet though this will likely be the last album we hear from them.
