even with the shitty quality of the facebook stream i'm calling it. this album blows Daisy out of the water and is approaching TDAG levels

Oh shit, yes. Though in the end wasn't it for the most part the actual album but unmastered? I remember some mislabeled tracks too, like Flying at Tree Level being on there but labeled Spin Light i think

Yes, I was burning my friends copies as LP2

  4. Oh I'm getting ready to leave right now (I was actually waiting on a call from my boss) but it was tempting to stay and that fact is insane, haha. Gotta take care of myself!

I vividly remember going to school and my friend Nicole had a burned copy. I didn't buy Deja for a while because I thought I had the record already.

Kinda love that the track name is a reference to Close Encounters of the Third Kind. But I'm sure that's already been discussed in here.

    1. not convinced this is the real album, more like outtakes or an album they threw out a long the way
    2. also not convinced the mailing list is tied to the pre-order directly

One thing that I think is clear, is that unsurprisingly its definitely not a repeat of any of their other releases. At times had a kinda bluesy vibe. None of the stuff I heard sounded anything like Nightmare.

  19. Haha, that is kinda funny. The final versions sounded so much better. I know a few people that did the same.

Deciding that an album is better off of one listen, through a Facebook stream of someone playing the CD

    incredible

There was a DJ at one of the bars I frequented when I was 18 who used to play the demo version and it used to really wind me up.
