These plans were authentic, but we are changing them. While there exists a collection of songs that, right now, some would call fit to be an album, to us it is not complete enough, refined enough, or edited thoroughly enough to be something we would call finished or essential. Brand New will not release a record in 2017.

I've had text alerts set for their tweets for a year or so. They never tweet, so it's not that obtrusive...but when they do post something, you're first to know.

 

Haha. I've had the band account, the label, the fan page and the archive page on push so when they Tweet it pops up. I was just trying to get FIRST LIKE FIRST COMMENT.

As mentioned earlier, I NEVER go on reddit but did last night because of this post. I read through the thread you spoke of, but someone made a comment that anytime a site goes down for maintenance or just in general, the 'countdown' in the source is often times just a countdown to when the site will go back live. And not necessarily an indication that once the site goes back live, there'd be a live countdown to an alleged event/date.

They're normally noon, I think. I know I normally take my lunch breaks around noon and feel like I always miss the live announcement.
