I mean, you just posted everyone's thoughts on social media. I honestly don't know how they can visit a different place every other month but bless those fools.

As long as she doesn't get death threats from white suprems, she could wear scooba diving goggles and I'd still vote for her

Just for reference, Steve Mnuchin is one of the founders of RatPac-Dune, which makes him a producer on most WB projects, from "Suicide Squad" to "Keanu" to "Mad Max: Fury Road," etc.

Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

Tisbury Lane was great, one of the first songs I learned on guitar...rest of it was just more of the same 'meh'

There's a lot wrong with America but holy cow this might be emblematic of the worst of it.

The good news is that it's Tesla so it'll probably take way longer to come to fruition than they're planning

What are the demographics of truck drivers? My assumption is primarily middle-aged white men. If/when that comes to fruition, UBI won't be the talking point. It will become yet another hollow cry for the white working class to blame losing jobs on immigrants.

the problem is that the robots that we're building to take these jobs aren't immigrants.
I would say that truck drivers are primarily white men which is why they'll be the ones that make UBI a reality. When white people need something they get it.

I just remember an NPR (I think) map a few years ago showing the most common profession for each state. Truck driver was top for many many states

  21. President Zuckercorn introduces his main campaign promise in Spring 2024, a bill establishing UBI but virtually eradicating all other forms of welfare. Passes fairly comfortably thanks to all republicans and a bunch of 'moderate' democrats

This topic came up before here around election time... the conservative types that argued against $15 min. wage would suggest fast food restaurants would replace workers with machines (a sign of their anti-poor, anti-POC bias). Then when the possibility of automated trucking came into the discussion, someone posted a map of the US with the most common profession in each state and I think at least half or a majority of the states it was Truck Driver.
