I feel like anywhere Bradford could be useful ends up being ironically hilarious for different reasons.

The Eagles already have paid his bonus. If he's traded, his new team owes him $7M this year.

 

Dude signed a deal two months ago and got $5.5 million on the spot. Now he can't take the heat from Chase Daniels and a guy from North Dakota State? Scrub. If I was an Eagles fan, I'd want him gone.

 

He's 28 and, as delusional as it may seem to fans, probably still thinks there is a shot for him to be a starting QB somewhere. I'm not going to blame a guy for wanting out of a team who is ready to move on from him, and have shown that by mortgaging the future on an unproven prospect.

Well, what came before him was Shanahan, who threw away draft picks for fun on RG3 (and McNabb, and started a war with Haynesworth, and a dozen other terrible decisions). And before that, it was Vinny Cerrato, who was basically Dan's pupper as he signed overpriced vets.

So, McCloughan rightfully seems like a god in comparison

If they can get the Eagles to eat the signing bonus, itd be about what they were willing to pay Kaep.

Actually, they havent. $5.5mil of his bonus doesnt get paid until September 1st. New team will owe him that plus his base salary for 2016 (so $12.5mil). Unless they get the Eagles to pay it sooner, in which case the Eagles will have incinerated $11mil in cap money for like, a 6th round pick.

This Bradford deal, instead of the franchise tag, was a stupid choice then. It's becoming stupider by the day. It only made sense if they had a plan and Bradford was in on it. Clearly that isnt the case.

 

I don't get excited about sports much now days, but all my teams getting new stadiums is definitely exciting.

Based on what I am hearing from fellow Eagles fans, this is absolutely a correct assessment on how the fanbase feels.

Cannot possibly understand what Bradford was expecting when he signed the 2 year deal. The writing on the wall has been there for some time now.
