Got all the amiibo except Ocarina of Time Link. My white whale

 

I chose Mayo

 

I would spring for a New 2DS XL. The C-stick adds better controls for a lot of games, and the faster processor makes some games play better. Plus you can play the SNES games and New 3DS exclusives

 

Unless the New 2DS XL is significantly cheaper, I'd get a New 3DS XL, because the 3D on that model is very stable and it does make some games better.

 

I've never enjoyed playing in 3D. gives me a headache and it doesn't add much for me

 

Have you tried it on the New 3DS with games that have good 3D? Because the old model or games with bad 3D give me headaches too. I'm aware that games that are better with 3D are not common, but there are enough of them for me to justify like 50€ extra for a New 3DS XL rather than a New 2DS XL.

 

Yeah, I tried it on the New 3DS XL and I still didn't enjoy it.

 

It's $149 vs $199. I got my son the 3DS XL for his birthday. I personally, would probably just do the 2DS XL

 

You also have to keep in mind that you can get a 2DS for $60 straight from Nintendo (or $79.99 with Mario Kart), so if you're balling on a budget that is certainly the way to go. That's a massive price jump to either XL system so I can understand "settling" for the 2DS.

Correct. It's super annoying if you're wanting to take it places and it's a bit awkward when playing because the screen isn't at a great angle. It's a shame Nintendo only sold the $99 New 3DS on Black Friday, because I think it's the perfect size and price point for just about anyone.

 

I just picked one up on eBay this week for $120. Can't wait to get it!
