I played splatoon 2 for the first time in handheld form and I'm so used to the pro controller that I never want to do it again.

 

gonner looks so good. So many games I want to play right now.

Pyre isn't on switch but it's at the top of my list, Gonner and Death squared to name a few.

 

Gonner is so much fun. Best $10 I spent this week.

 

I was just going to ask if anyone here plays in handheld mode

Pyre has taken over my gaming life for the past few days but I think I'm getting close to the end so I can get back to my Splatoon obsession.

 

I played the Switch docked one time for about 5 minutes in total, the rest was handheld

 

my switch isnt even connected to my tv

 

my dock has literally just been a charging station after playing zelda on the tv once when i got it

 

I've only ever played handheld while on a flight

handheld almost exclusively

 

I do own a pro controller so it's kind of silly that I never use it in TV mode but for the four games I've primarily played on the thing since launch, Zelda's performance was noticeably better in handheld mode (at least at launch, maybe they've fixed it since then) and MK8/ARMS/Splatoon are all games I played in shorter bursts on the handheld while watching TV/sports/wrestling so they're handheld only for me. I have a feeling that I'll play Mario mostly on TV.

 

They did fix Zelda

 

I play handheld more because I'm on the go more, but I way prefer the TV mode. I don't love playing with the joy Cons and the bigger screen is so much better

I'm on team handheld. I've docked a few times for zelda but that was it

 

I feel like I lose way more than win I splatoon.

 

I feel like I use handheld and TV equally. When given the opportunity, I prefer playing on TV because of the larger/better display and pro controller. But man, having the handheld option is awesome for playing in bed or out and about. So glad Nintendo finally realized the vision they had for the gamepad on Wii U.

 

Every single team I've been on in ranked has lost

Someone on my team got the rainmaker and started walking towards our own area

 

I pretty much leave my Switch docked 24/7. I can't play it at work so the only time I have to play it really is when I'm home. I did just buy a set of neon red joycons so my wife and I can play Mario Kart 8 together. They look awesome on the grey comfort grip. Also just got one of the joy con charging docks which works great and tucks away really nicely.

 

30% handheld
70% docked with pro con

I enjoy handheld a lot and it definitely works but it can't beat that TV setup.

 

Also the pro controller is USB-C so it can also charge the Switch. M

 

I'm probably docked 25% of the time, handheld 75%
