We reach for the longest shadow

Ian tweeted out about liking the first half and being indifferent to the second, so i predict a 6 point something. thats a little confusing to me, for obvious reasons. (the grocery, the wolf, the silence)

All y'all are saying your favorite songs. Frankly, my favorite song on the record is whichever one I happen to be listening to.

Considering how meticulous they were over making this record do we believe the mistake was intentionally meant to sound like the Billy Joel song? How would none of the producers they worked with hear that?

I'm not saying I'm a huge Billy Joel fan, but I didn't notice it until someone pointed it out. The human brain is weird, that's for sure.

My gold bundle has arrived! Absolutely love it. Yeah the music box is cheap, but what did anyone expect? I think it's really cool.

We reach for the longest shadow

The beginning of that Billy Joel song starts off, "Anthony works in the grocery store", so something tells me it has to be intentional to some extent.

Same, especially the second time when it goes all sludgey and switches it up.

    I do not exist.

Well, well, well. Lots to digest and I've only listened twice. The one thing I will say is that the opener blew me away. Wonderful and just what I'm looking for in a Manchester Orchestra track.

I was gonna argue with this since Only One is one of my favorite songs of all time... but uh yeah that's a solid hot take.

Can this band start an album or what?

The back half of the wolf is maybe my favorite thing this year. Haha

Had a dream that they opened with this and went straight into shake it out on their upcoming tour.

No man, I know how much you love MO. I was saying the same things about Goodness when it came out last year, I think it's awesome this album is hitting you on TDAG levels.

This album is incredible though. Andy has never sounded better. And the production is just next level. The detail of these songs is really inspiring as a fellow song writer. Listening to this album makes me want to be a better song writer. I'll post more of my thoughts about this album upon repeated listens, but so far, it is unbelievable.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

This record is so cohesive that it's hard to pick a favorite song. I feel like I won't be listening to individual songs off this album much, but will instead play through the whole thing.
