man, the parts sounds like it could have been plucked straight off the tracklist of church of the good thief.

i'm really into the back half of this. gotta really sit down and delve into it as a whole, still.

 

Can anyone send me a copy of this? Absolutely dying to hear it and my copy hasn't arrive yet.

 

I think my favorite part of the whole record is the WOOOOOOO coming out of the bridge on The Mistake. It's the little things. I love that bridge and it's the perfect way to get back in the groove of the chorus.

 

See, I've only spun it once, and missed this "Woooo" everyone is talking about.

 

Officially the greatest record of 2017

I love that the moth transitions on a different beat out of every chorus

 

Could stay there unless pitchfork gives it a 5.7 which would sort of be a shame. I'm thinking 6.5 from pitchfork

 

Definitely going to be a 5.7. Need to continue the trend of being 0.1 better than the last album.

To be fair, that's only because Metacritic values Kerrang haha. It's at an 88 on AOTY, which places it 4th, which is still damn good.

The Moth is so fucking good god damn! I love this. This might be #2 for me for 2017, if not edging out After the Party for #1 by the end of the year.

 

I feel that so many of us are going to be going back and forth on the two records as aoty. Paramore is a dark horse for me but I think it will end up in the 3 or 4 spot

 

Holy crap!!! I'm only at The Grocery & already can tell this might be the best album ever!

*actually I love everything about this album, other than itunes in the latest high sierra beta wouldn't recognize my phone & I had to wait until getting into the office to listen

 

Silence didn't blow me away as much as I had hoped it would, it is very epic though!

 

Ugh, i thought it was going to be easy to wait until release day. y'all are not helping.

Sometimes if you place an expectation on something right away it doesn't hit you as hard. I didn't post about this but my first listen through on Sunday night was similar, I didn't feel as strongly about the album at first as I had that night in New York when I heard it at the listening party, I was even slightly disappointed. But the next spin the album blew me away all over again, I think I had just put an enourmous expectation on it and what I thought the songs should sound like based off of hearing them a month ago and only two times through.

 

Forgot to cancel the deluxe vinyl I ordered on Amazon. Dagnabbit.
