i saw aviator last night aviator is a good post-hardcore/melodic hardcore band

might like them better than touche more consistently though touche's lyrics are obviously better/more devastating

Maybe it's not your thing, but the musicians in Counterparts could play circles around them. And I love both bands, but let's be real here. If I bashed The 1975 for the songs I think are mediocre, you'd have a hissy fit.

 

just because bands know how to play their instruments doesn't mean they play good music. there are many better hardcore bands than they are.

You're cursing and throwing insults at an incredibly talented band who many think make extremely great melodic hardcore/metal music. If it's not your thing, so be it. Don't freak out cause somebody brought them up because their vocalist loves the 1975.

 

Comparing Counterparts to The 1975 is one of the funniest things I've ever read on AP/Chorus.

I just wanna point out I brought up Counterparts as a joke for like the 3 people that understood it without getting butthurt, but yeah the Counterparts dudes are better musicians. I still like The 1975 more but I love both bands more than myself.

Literally take a joke dude, I obviously didn't bring up Counterparts to spark a debate between two wildly different bands. A running joke among Counterparts fans is the band's love of The 1975, to the point of people wearing Counterparts merch to their shows.

 

I still don't understand the correlation between playing fast and being a better musician.
