Not trying to be an ass replying but you do realize we had no fullbacks. None of our youth came through and we relied on old legs last year to a fault. So I really don't give a damn who the manger is/was the spend was going to happen. So please enjoy the snark on Pep.....

To go back to the Pep debate, I am very interested in seeing him manage a side that isn't swimming in cash.

Barcelona, Bayern, Man City... Logic dictates it's PSG next?

This thought has just popped into my mind, but what would Pep managing the current Spurs side look like? Reckon they would be incredible.

Wednesday said to be closing in on the signing of Alan Hutton.

Oh well. How good could getting promoted be anyway?

Neymar Sr left the game last night with the Barca board and I rolled my eyes so hard

I have no connection to the player or either club but this whole situation has grown incredibly irritating so I would like to say: Fuck Neymar Snr. Let your son make his own decisions.

Marca is reporting PSG agreed to match Messi's new contract for Neymar and that he's moving there now. Half a mil a week after tax.

On the pure money side of things, it's a no-brained move. But going to a weaker league does zero to help your case that you're the best player in the world. Which is the "supposed" reason for these talks. "Getting out of Messi's shadow."

At this point, I'll be happy if he stays but good riddance if he's gone. He's matured, but he's still petulant at times. And for every PSG game last season, he had five where he wasn't nearly the presence he should be. Could be.

The money in football is getting sickening.

I would love for there to be a cap on transfer fees, wages, agent fees etc. but how would you implement it? Who would enforce it?

222 million for someone to kick a ball around is obscene. Just for examples sake, that amount of money could transform my entire shitty town and make a significant difference to everyone who lives here.

We use caps in almost every sport in America except baseball, iirc

Who enforces the cap in, say, the NBA? Is there a governing body (like The FA is for soccer in the UK) that does it?

Pretty sure the leagues enforce the cap as a part of their business model.

I agree re: the money in football, but welcome to what it's like supporting a team that isn't the richest in the world haha.

That said, if Neymar goes and scores 40 league goals, and wins them the CL, then he probably will win the Ballon D'Or
