Have you read about any of the clips that were shown at SDCC?

That comic-con poster is pretty sweet.

The panel was awesome too -- Muschietti hinted at opening part two with Adrian Mellon.

That would be perfect, such a powerful opening.

(Though I also love opening on Stan)

Can't wait for IT. Not as excited about The Dark Tower.

Just started the 11.22.63 Hulu series

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

The actor that plays Eddie screams his head off.

I probably won't be seeing the movie in theaters, but this was a pretty cool trailer connecting a lot of his stuff.

I've powered through the entire Dark Tower series and finished the Shining this morning, I'm curious which "smaller" book to tackle next: Green Mile, Doctor Sleep, Different Seasons, or Salem's Lot?

If you just finished The Shining, read Doctor Sleep.

Salem's Lot is my favorite out of those choices though.

Joyland is one of my favorites and is a very quick read, if you haven't read that yet, as well.

I told myself I was finally gonna read Stephen King this year so I picked up Mr. Mercedes from the library and am enjoying it a lot so far. How does this one compare to the rest of his body of work? I don't hear it or its sequels get thrown around a lot by a lot of King fans so I'm guessing it's viewed as more of a minor entry in his body of work.

Just got Joyland. Excited to read that after I finish Under the Dome...

I'll keep Joyland in mind! I can't wait to read The Stand and Under the Dome, but after powering through the Dark Tower series I felt like taking a breather from longer books and settling on shorter ones haha

I think most King fans enjoy the series ( I know I did), but yeah you may not see that end up on a lot of people's all time favorites list. I'd say Mr. Mercedes is more of a straight forward fiction book than most of his work, although the next two books in the series have a few more elements of classic "King". If you enjoy the series I'd highly recommend checking out some of his other works, my personal favorites being The Stand, The Dark Tower, IT, and 11/22/63.

I think I'm on my own when I say I wasn't blown away by the Mr. Mercedes books. Not bad by any means but you know what I mean.

So I started reading the Dark Tower comics, I read the first collection and it was really good, retells Wizard and Glass. Anyway, there's an open letter from King at the end and he's talking about wanting to write some original comics and the first idea is a zombie thing that would be pretty cool but then the second idea is the bones of 11/22/63 with the original radiation poisoning ending. Had no idea it was originally a comic in his head.

As a going away present my boss bought me the Creepshow comic and The Talisman. We deeply bonded over The Dark Tower so, that was very nice of him.
