So this is the last single before the album drops on Friday. This is the one written about my late mother. She used to sit in a chair every morning with her coffee and the newspaper and take pictures of hummingbirds coming to the feeders outside of our living room window. In some cultures, hummingbirds were symbols of war, and that inspired the metaphors throughout the song parreleling her battle with cancer. Hope you guys like it.

Just released my debut album--you may have seen ads for it around the site, but I figured I'd post it here as well. It's alternative/emo rock. Please let me know if you have any feedback!

 

I can dig it! How'd your advertising on the site go? Did you see a bump?

 

Well, Bandcamp tracks where your hits come from, and so far I've gotten 25 from chorus.fm banners. I only started it this Monday and it lasts for a month, so it's pretty alright. Not the greatest, but it certainly beats Facebook ads. It's resulted in zero new downloads though--I'm honestly considering just making it free to increase exposure, but I feel weird doing that when it's on Spotify anyway.

I finally decided to "officially" release some music today. Just a two-song release.

Please feel free to give it a whirl if you're a fan of The National, Interpol, Manchester Orchestra. Not fully produced/mixed/mastered but feels good to be writing and recording again, so wanted to put something out.
