Tinder has let me meet some interesting people, i have some funny/awkward/terrible date stories, and also uh... match with secret nazis and racist single moms. So, you take the good with the bad. But it's definitely possible to meet someone and have a good relationship with them from there.

I will say though that I've always been a supporter of what my dad told me that you'll meet the people you'd want to date/hang out with at the places that you'd want to meet/hang out at. So, like, if you're in to record collecting and you're at your local record shop, don't be afraid to make friends with the owner/employees or to tell the cute man/woman across the bins from you that the Bleachers album she has in her hands is one of your favorite albums this year. Or make friends and get involved with your local co-ed adult league soccer league and go out with them or your DSA chapter or whatever.

 

Your dads words is pretty much the traditional-real-life way to meet girls/make friends... But still.. Not sure why you're giving up on online dating? Why no both ways? We all have some weird af tinder nightmare stories but I never thought of deleting Tinder

 

I just want to know why everyone on Tinder has been somewhere with fucking camels. It's like every other white woman has pictures with camels. What's up? Are they native here? Am I mistaken?

Im sorry to hear you went through that. You could have been pregnant and had a miscarriage without knowing. Its possible. Can't too mad at yourself when the signs were all there that you were pregnant. Only thing that could tell is a sonogram which i assume how you found out. If it makes you feel better, a similar thing happened to me. Just make sure to monitor yourself and any possible bleeding or soemthing out of the ordinary.

situational thing I guess. When we are together neither of us are usually thinking hot dogs... it's usually fast food (Sonic (her fav), Chipotle, or Wendy's) or she cooks something.

Actually come to think of it she usually fries her hot dogs, slices em in half, puts em on bread and eats em like a sandwich. That probably would be weird to me if my friend's Mom didn't always do that when she ran out of hot dog buns lol.

I agree. In my opinion taking a break is just delaying a breakup. You guys are at a fairly critical point in your relationship, you're past the honeymoon stage and are starting to find your own identities again and it's time to decide if this relationship works for you, and it sounds like it's not. I've broken up with someone before and I was weak and kept on allowing it to be delayed despite the fact that I knew deep down tha we didn't belong together. It was rough and and painful but in the end it was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and now we're great friends! So, you never know what good could come of it.


Edit: I agree with the poster above that taking a break isn't inherently a bad thing, but they were together for 4 years. If you have to take a break after a year and a half....I say call it quits

When I was a kid I would just eat hot dogs straight out of the pack, one after the other. Wouldn't heat em up, no ketchup, just straight raw doggin' it.

 

My friend did that. He would also eat them with a liter of cold milk. It was disgusting.
