Not a ghost story but last night I had a dream someone was unscrewing the ball on my nose piercing and then they put it in my mouth. I briefly woke up and thought it was actually in there and that I had swallowed it, but was in too much of a daze to really determine if I was just being crazy or not.

I woke up today and the ball is gone. How tf did that happen :/

 

Never thought I would but I've been getting more into alien stuff lately. I kind of feel like when applying Occam's Razor to the Fermi Paradox you're forced to consider that we have, at the very least, contacted extraterrestrial life. If we really have, I really don't get why there would be a cover up though. I just don't see the point of hiding that info. Far more terrifying is the prospect that we are alone in the universe, which means we're 100% guaranteed doomed as a species since that implies there's some filter that snuffs out life at a certain point, no exceptions. The alternative idea that life is "just that rare" that it's a one off thing is so dumb it hurts to hear. My chem/astronomy teacher laughs at the idea of extraterrestrial life and I know it's because he's religious (he would never admit that), the cognitive dissonance is astonishing.

 

The night I first read about the Fermi paradox I was like

 

idk there are a lot of issues with the concept of alien life actually having visited us. mostly cuz there's so much misinformation and distortions of truth, but also because thinking logically, some of it just doesn't make sense. For example claims of finding organic bodies, purportedly alien, will never convince me. Any species advanced enough to come all the way here would almost certainly fall into the transcendent category, meaning they're sufficiently advanced to have evolved past biological limitations and would more than likely be unrecognizable to us.

 

I just watched the Twilight Zone episode about Fermi Paradox.

To me Fermi Paradox reads like someone who is blazed out of their mind and starts pondering the weird shit they wouldn't normally think about.

 

I just got done watching a horror the other night and had never heard of vanishing twin syndrome until it was mentioned in the movie. Sad and pretty creepy.

 

NYT Magazine just put out an article last week on the Fermi Paradox, shit is crazy.

I usually wake up at 1-3am nothing creepy at all except for the fact that all I am seeing on my Facebook newsfeed are the scary post and I can't help but read it.

 

Some people find this a little creepy, though I'm honored and think it's really cool. But my birthday is on October 13th. And when I turned 13 years old, it was on a Friday the 13th. This year I'll be turning 30, and it will be another Friday the 13th.

And side note, Chris Carter's (and the Fox Mulder character) birthday is also October 13th, which is why the production company that did The X-Files is Ten Thirteen (you may recall at the end of each episode a child saying "I made this").

 

So what do you all think, Tasmanian tiger or injured dog/fox?
