Should be interesting to see. Probably another co-headliner or something.

I have no idea about the timeline behind any relocations of Mojoes, but The Forge is on Cass Street in Joliet. It's the third different iteration of a venue in that location since I moved to the region in 2013. Originally, it was Mojoes. And then it became The Tree which closed sometime last year. And now it's The Forge. Their upcoming shows include Fuel, Theory of a Deadman, Alesana, and He Is Legend so I guess they must be doing something that's working.

Ohh ok got ya. I thought there was a Mojoes in a different location than that Mojoes once, but I could be completely off about that. The Forge is the one at the place I was wondering about though. Thanks!

Yes lol the first one was on 159th the other one was on Harlem just north of 159th. I saw mayday parade and hit the lights and the one on 159th way back in 2009

I feel like that venue should win an award for most complicated history for a 500 or so person venue in the suburbs. (It's actually unfortunate how many good suburb venues aren't able to make it.)

Oddly enough, two years ago, CHON supported The Fall of Troy on their tour.

If it was a hour or so drive from me in WI agree, i would most likely get some friends and go. There are bands that I like playing i'm seeing people saying they gonna drop $1500 to go from across the country. This ain't worth that. Mdf, prog power, psycho las vegas, those sell a kidney worthy lineups. Also agree about the more extreme/underground bands getting in front of bigger audiences.

CHON has a pretty large following now. Where Fall of Troy hasn't even been really relevant in how long?

How CHON got so big baffles me. They've got talent, but their music is so boring...especially after seeing them live on their last tour. Tera Melos blew them out of the water.

They're exciting live for like 15 minutes and then it gets dreadful

I'm going to try to check out Chon at Riot Fest (depending on schedule), but I'm glad it's a setting where I can go, get my fill, and then move on to something else, because I'm not sure I could see myself watching them for an hour or whatever they would do on a headliner.

I heard that from a lot of people who went to the DGD tour. I've never seen them but is CHON repetitive live with their songs? Meaning, do each of their songs just blend together?

    this is very true.

pretty much that, but there was also an environmental factor that threw it off when I saw them. djent shitheads moshing to smooth jazz-esque passages and what not.

    state champs possible tour leak?
with homesafe, bearings and sleep on it. hitting GCW in nj on 9/9. no bands have posted, or venues. just on bandsintown. a couple other dates as well with the same lineup leading me to believe its a tour.

Ah I know those types. The "look how cool I am, I can mosh to anything" types that are bored but want to bring attention to themselves. I see it a lot when an acoustic or pop act plays right before a heavier band.

Makes sense since all those bands are playing Four Chord together. Probably just a mini run in between that and Riot Fest

I saw them at Riot 2 years ago and thought they were great. 30 minutes is a perfect length set. But they also did two of their songs that have vocals in them during that so it was even better.

When I saw them on their headliner they played almost 90 minutes with no vocals and it was honestly the most bored I have ever been at a show
