So who's on the Have Mercy tour? I don't want to see them again but if support is good I can go and leave before they play lol.

Totally zzzz for me. Most of these bands I've seen at least once if not more in the past 18 months. Also, if you trying to be destination festival festival you need to bring it. The only 2 us metal fests that truly fucking bring it When it comes to lineups is mdf and progpower.

You might think it's a bore but I'm sure they'll double the attendance of MDF and Progpower. This caters to the casual metal listener, hard rock fans and some death metal fans. The other 2 are more genre specific.

^Behind the Barricade took the words right out of my mouth. This caters to a much different audience than MDF, Progpower, or any other underground festival period. After attending MDF this past year (and having a great time but that's an aside for a different time), they'll likely not only double the attendance of it, but could likely triple or quadruple the attendance totals of those combined.

I agree that the festival is a snore for me in general and every band on there might tour in some form or another eventually, but this is a large festival that straddles the line between mainstream and underground in the second largest metropolitan area in the country. I doubt a lot of people were thinking about traveling to this, but there's a big pool of people regionally who will be at this. If this were in the Chicago metro area, I'd consider attending if prices were reasonable. Plus I'm stoked for bands on the lineup like Iron Reagan, Tombs, Exhumed, and Ghoul who will get to play for some new types of audiences.

Chon announced a string of shows with The Fall of Troy and Hail the Sun yesterday. Didn't see anything posted about it, but I like the lineup a lot.

Weird that The Fall of Troy is support. Thought for sure they were bigger.

Metro Station finally announced their 10 year tour. Dates are up on their site.

Believe it or not, Chon passed them in popularity. I think it was Bledfest when I realized how much TFOT has declined in popularity for whatever reason.

Odds of invent animate opening a future US northlane headliner? Currently touring CAN together and Ben from IA said that's not the only place they'll be playing together.

TFOT comeback album was not positively received. That also had a lot to do with it.

^Poor Metro Station. Bada Brew is the worst venue in the Chicago area...I almost feel bad for them.

What in the hell is Bada Brew (is it where the 2nd mojoes used to be)? I thought for sure this tour would've had Bottom Lounge written all over it.

It's kind of hilarious that they couldn't even book venues in some cities and just list the dates as available on the poster. Suprised they couldn't find a venue in Portland.

Any rumors going around for a Circa headliner after their dates with AFI now that they've announced the new album?

Bada Brew is in Crest Hill (just north of Joliet) and is a separate place from the old Mojoes (which is now The Forge). It's a tiny venue in a shopping center with horrible sound.

Ah got ya, I've never seen anything go through there (which I guess really speaks to where Metro Station is at). Do you know if anything ever happened with the 2nd Mojoes that was open for a few years? (On Cass street or something if I remember right)?
