so we have new Circa Survive, The Killers, and The Movielife all the same day.

 

It's a good thing we have A Black Mile To The Surface coming at the end of the month. It'll help keep me satisfied until this drops.

Also, said it in the band thread but I have a really good feeling about this record.

 

really cool video, i like the song too but feel like it'll need to grow on me a bit. however i really like the sound of the production, it sounds really great, the production of the last two albums turned me off a bit. this is sounding really great so far though, i'm really excited for the album!

 

I can't believe how stacked this year is.

I feel like I don't really have a thing. I don't interact with enough people to have one lol

 

Honestly yeah, me too. I tend to feel like sort of an outsider still to this day on the site just because a lot of users have known each other a long time and have relationships outside of the forums. I hope that continues to change for me in the future, because I love 95% of the users who post around here and think a lot about how I'd like to get to know everyone better.

Also agree with @nohandstoholdonto that this is shaping up to be a great album. Circa has always been really consistent for me, but I'm wondering if this could have the potential to be their best since BSN. The single sure leads me to that line of thinking.

so is the album art supposed to be a reference back to the girl from the OLG album art? it looks like the same kind of colors on her head that made up the balloon. idk just looks like Esao made a sequel to it or something

What is my thing then?

 

Agreed that the album art is terrific. Song titles have me excited too. I dig the song quite a bit but didn't blow me away on first listen. Didn't care for descensus much but this has me pretty excited.

 

Death

 

Song is mid tier until it reaches that single bass line part towards the end and then I just wanna float away. So good.

 

I have a very strange relationship with this band. I really like them but the only album of theirs I know well front to back is On Letting Go. I also need to be in a very specific mood for them. That being said I will always listen to their new music, and I really enjoy the new song and I'm looking forward to the album. I agree about the album art. I really like when bands keep a consistent art style for their albums.

 

This is about to be my AOTY.

I'm also incredibly bias, and not to be trusted... Because my "thing" is having the worst music opinions on here.

Or disappearing for months at a time. I do that too.
