I'm so ready for this album, everything they've released/teased so far sounds amazing.

Damn Steve Hyden just kinda panned this pretty bad on his review for Uproxx. Too bad, he was a big fan of their first record. Still sure it'll get BNM on P4K

I literally couldn't care less about what those two people I don't know say about an album I haven't heard

    Annnnd chill tf out.

Never said a thinnnnnng about caring about a review. I like the band, that's why I'm in the thread. I like when bands I like get good press.....because good press is good for bands. Does this make sense to you?

"The most immediate problem with Something To Tell You is its lack of frothy, catchy, and easily thinkpiece-able jams."

amazingly this is the most depressing sentence i've ever read in a hyden piece, he outdid himself

man I want some jams about the ritualistic commodification of protest movements. that's a serious problem Chorus.fm needs to address

    Track 1: banger
    Track 2: banger
    Track 3: banger
    Track 4: banger
    Track 5: medium banger
    Track 6: chill banger

    to be continued...

Kinda feel like this thing is front-loaded...

the last record was front-loaded imo

btw "found it in silence" is the best thing they've ever done, so imo it's not particularly overloaded on either side

Yea, I'm already gonna backpedal on that. This whole thing rules. First impression is my favorite 2 tracks are "Nothing's Wrong" and "You Never Knew".

it's more consistent than the debut and yeah i'm gonna say i like pretty much all of it. their sound hasn't advanced a ton (except "you never knew" makes everyone's lazy fleetwood mac comparisons suddenly legitimate) but the songs are great and there's so much detail to get lost in, it's almost like a good version of overproduction

i'm really surprised bc the pre-release songs didn't grab me at all

I'll hear this later tonight but I hope I grow to like it more than the debut, which I consider one of my favorite debuts ever

Wow, this is immediately one of my favorite things I have heard all year, no question. Totally worth the wait, and you can tell they spend a lot of time on these songs and the details

Finished my first listen. I love this band.

I do feel it could have used a bit more variety but it's still a really strong record that I expect to grow on me.
