This album is great and v overlooked this year.

I cannot fathom someone hearing Stormzy and thinking it's better than Kendrick. And I like Stormzy. Misterwives was not good. Jesca Hoop is legit though.

 

Idk if I think it's "better", but I've gone back to Stormzy more. "Cold" and "Blinded By Your Grace Pt 2" are two of my favorites for the year. Both are great.

personally when i make these lists i worry about what i like the most and im not narcissistic enough to assume that my ranking of what i like is the same as a ranking as what's objectively the best

 

I'm about to throw Stoney on my list even though it came out last year.

 

I assume that's what everybody does, yes. That's good of you considering there is no such thing as "objectively the best."

 

so then why'd you complain about someone thinking stormzy is better than kendrick

 

Because I cannot fathom someone hearing Stormzy and thinking it's better than Kendrick. I'm not complaining about it lol. He can think what he wants about two albums that both of us like haha.

Outside of Yachty, XCX, and Thief (haven't heard those yet), I dig this list.

 

I threw it on mine. It's one of those albums I can't put down at all. Really hoping beerbongs and bentleys drops this year.

 

You should check them (obviously I think that since they're on my list). I think the Yachty album is deeply misjudged and Charli is making the best pop music around imo.

 

I'm a casual fan of Charli so it's definitely high on my list right now. I'll get around to Yachty soon enough. I haven't heard anything from him but I followed along in the thread so I have no clue what to expect haha. Other than that cello line lol.

 

I think the back half of this year is going to make a final list pretty hard to make lol
